How to beat Food Hunt: Pixel Puzzle Level 166 — full solution

  1. Tap the Black 30 jar (front row, left) and Green 20 jar (front row, right), then feed Cyan, Light Green, and White jars into the bays as they reveal. The ants strip the outer black spikes and the green-and-white rind, filling all five bays with active countdowns.
  2. Allow the outer rind jars to expire, then tap the revealed Yellow, Orange, and White 20 jars. The ants chew through the lower rind fragments and begin carving into the exposed bottom-right fruit pulp and white partition lines, leaving two bays open.
  3. Tap Yellow 17 and Yellow 23 into the empty bays to accelerate pulp clearing alongside the active White jar. The ants remove large sections of the lower yellow fruit flesh, bringing the central partition closer to exposure while keeping the locked jar in view.
  4. Send the new Orange 3 jar and newly revealed Yellow 4 jar into the empty slots, clearing a key jar that unlocks the padlocked jar in the left column. The yellow and orange ants consume remaining lower fruit segments and expose the central core.
  5. Tap the Red 1 jar to immediately target the red cross in the fruit core, then tap Black, White, and Green 20 jars into the open bays. The red core disappears while ants strip upper thorns and inner white borders, freeing up central space.
  6. Deploy Light Green 19, Green 3, White 10, Black 1, and Dark Green 14 into the bays. These jars remove the remaining top rind spikes, dark borders, and inner white membrane lines, reducing the durian to a few loose yellow and orange clusters.
  7. Tap Orange 4, Yellow 2, White 1, and Green 5 from the bottom of the grid. The ants clear the last bits of orange pulp, green accents, and stray border fragments, uncovering the final Purple and Yellow jars beneath.
  8. Tap the final Yellow 2 and White jars into the bays to collect the last stray pulp pixels. The picture clears completely and the level finishes.

Moves that cost you the level

  • Tapping the front Orange 23 jar at the start → the orange pulp is buried beneath the green and white rind, leaving the jar stalled in a bay.
  • Filling all five bays with yellow jars too early → inner yellow pixels remain blocked by white membranes and red core segments, causing a deadlock.

Quick tips for Level 166

  • Work from the outside in: peel outer black spikes and green rind layers before touching inner yellow pulp jars.
  • Prioritize jars carrying keys to open the locked stack in the left column before bays fill up.
Board breakdown5 notes
Layout
A pixelated durian slice sits centered on the board with a dark spiked outline, layered green rind, white inner membrane, and yellow/orange segmented pulp. Below the picture are five bays and a multi-row jar grid.
Goal
Clear all pixels from the durian picture by matching ants from tapped jars to exposed edge pixels.
Opening
Tap the front-row Black 30 and Green 20 jars to begin chewing the exterior thorns and rind, leaving room for upcoming white and green jars.
Trap
Tapping Orange or Yellow jars while the rind is intact clogs bays immediately, as internal pulp pixels remain completely sealed behind outer black, green, and white layers.
Mechanic
Locked jars marked with a padlock count down and unlock as key-bearing jars are tapped from the grid.

Level 166 questions

  • What should I tap first on Level 166?

Tap the Black 30 and Green 20 jars in the front row. They strip the outer spikes and rind, uncovering the inner white and yellow layers.

  • Why are my yellow and orange jars not counting down on Level 166?

The yellow and orange pixels represent internal fruit pulp. Ants cannot reach them until the outer green rind and white membranes are peeled away.
