Food Hunt: Pixel Puzzle Level 1 Walkthrough
Level 1 introduces the core mechanics with an orange citrus popsicle. Tap jars from the front row to deploy ants that eat matching exposed pixels from the outside in. Avoid clogging the five bays by only sending colours that have currently exposed pixels.

How to beat Food Hunt: Pixel Puzzle Level 1 — full solution
- Tap the Yellow 20 jar (front row, centre). Yellow ants head to the exposed lemon slice face as prompted by the opening tutorial.
- Tap the Orange 20 jar (front row, left) and the Orange 30 jar (revealed row 2, left). Orange ants start stripping the outer popsicle shell, leaving two bays free.
- Tap the White 20 jar (front row, right) and the Beige 10 jar (front row, left). White ants strip the exposed inner citrus rind while Beige ants begin gnawing the stick.
- Tap the Yellow 20 jar (front row, left), the Yellow 20 jar (front row, centre), and the Beige 10 jar (front row, right) in any order as bays free up. Yellow ants devour the central slice segments.
- Tap the Orange 30 jar (front row, left) and the Orange 20 jar (front row, centre). Orange ants strip away the thick popsicle body surrounding the lemon slice.
- Tap the Yellow 28 jar (front row, left) and the Yellow 30 jar (front row, centre). Yellow ants eat away the remaining pulp pixels in the central core, revealing the final jars.
- Tap the Orange 44 jar (front row, left). It enters an open bay to strip the outer perimeter pixels across the top of the popsicle.
- Tap the Beige 12 jar (front row, right). It fills the final bay to clear the popsicle stick while the remaining ants finish off the rind and clear the board.

Moves that cost you the level
- Tapping Beige jars while the popsicle stick is still fully covered → the Beige jar stalls in a bay and cannot consume any pixels until the outer shell is eaten.
Quick tips for Level 1
- Keep at least one bay open whenever possible so new jars can be placed without risking gridlock.
- Target exterior shell colours first to expose deeper layers like the inner citrus pith and the popsicle stick.
Board breakdown5 notes
- Layout
- A pixel-art citrus popsicle on a wooden stick sits above an ant hole, a rack of five empty bays, and a jar grid feeding from the bottom. The front row initially displays three jars: Orange 20, Yellow 20, and White 20.
- Goal
- Clear every pixel of the orange popsicle, inner lemon slice, and stick by sending matching ant jars into the bays.
- Opening
- Tap the Yellow 20 jar in the centre of the front row as prompted by the tutorial, followed by the Orange 20 jar on the left. The yellow ants target the exposed lemon slice face while orange ants strip the outer edge.
- Trap
- Filling all five bays with jars whose colours are completely covered inside the popsicle, such as sending multiple Beige jars before the stick is uncovered, which stalls the bays.
- Mechanic
- Exposed pixel matching. Ants only target matching pixels on the exposed perimeter of the food art, meaning interior details cannot be eaten until the surrounding layers are cleared.
