How to beat Colony Flow! Level 399 — full solution

  1. Let the Purple 35 box in slot 2 strip the top purple border, then tap the Brown 20 box (row 1, column 4) and Purple 25 box (row 1, column 1). This begins chipping away at the two giant 60-count brown chests while opening the left stack column.
  2. Tap the Purple 25 box (row 1, column 2) and the Green 26 box (row 2, column 1) into free slots. As additional brown boxes emerge beneath the front row, tap the Brown 26 and Brown 10 boxes to continue demolishing both chests.
  3. Allow the brown boxes to finish disintegrating both 60-count chests entirely. Tap the Green 50 box and Green 35 box from the middle stack to dispatch green ants against the leprechaun hat.
  4. Tap the linked Red 38 and Light Blue 8 pair (column 4) together into two available slots. The red ants begin eating the bowtie while light blue ants wait briefly for the shirt blocks to become exposed.
  5. Tap the Yellow 27 box and White 27 box from the front row as the green hat dissolves. Ants peel away the yellow shoes and expose the white face in the centre.
  6. Tap the White 50 box and Orange 30 box from the front row. White ants harvest the face pixels while orange ants strip the side hair tufts, freeing two slots.
  7. Tap the Light Blue 18 box, Black 20 box, and Purple 45 box into the open slots. Light blue ants dismantle the remaining trousers and tie while purple ants clean up the side hair borders.
  8. Tap the Blue 30 box, White 2 box, and remaining Purple 11 box to clear the final pixels of the belt buckle, face outline, and background frame, completing the level.

Moves that cost you the level

  • Tapping the linked Red 38 + Light Blue 8 pair in the opening → both red bowtie and blue shirt blocks are deeply buried behind the brown chests and hat, permanently clogging two of your five slots.
  • Releasing the Orange 49 or Yellow 25 boxes before the cheeks and boots are uncovered → the boxes will idle in the bays with zero valid targets, causing an unavoidable slot jam.

Quick tips for Level 399

  • Focus all initial ant capacity on stripping the two 60-count brown crates, as they block access to over a third of the board.
  • Always maintain at least two open slots when approaching the linked Red 38 and Light Blue 8 pair so you do not trigger a game over.
Board breakdown5 notes
Layout
A pixel portrait of a leprechaun wearing a green hat with a yellow buckle, flanked by purple hair, with two huge 60-count brown chests covering the bottom half of the image. The stack below features four columns of boxes.
Goal
Clear all coloured blocks from the board into the nest, including both 60-count brown chests and the character portrait.
Opening
Purple 35 is already working in slot 2. Tap the Brown 20 and Purple 25 boxes in the front row to start clearing exposed purple borders and chipping into the brown crates.
Trap
The vertically linked Red 38 and Light Blue 8 pair in column 4 requires two bays and cannot gather blocks until the outer brown chests and green hat are dismantled.
Mechanic
Linked boxes must enter slots simultaneously via a connecting bar. Giant obstacle chests require multiple boxes of the same colour before breaking.

Level 399 questions

  • How do I remove the two giant brown chests in Level 399?

Tap the Brown 20 box in the front row, then prioritize tapping the subsequent brown boxes uncovered in the stack until both 60-count chests reach zero.

  • When should I tap the linked Red 38 and Light Blue 8 boxes?

Wait until both brown chests are gone and the green hat has been largely eaten away, ensuring at least two slots are free before tapping either linked box.
