Colony Flow! Level 398 Walkthrough

normal Live 10 colours / pieces Checked September 20, 2026

Level 398 depicts a sea turtle swimming over coral reefs. Tap outer-layer colours like Cyan, Blue, and Purple first to peel away the water background before touching the inner turtle shell and reef. Avoid sending inner colours to the slots while outer borders still block them.

How to beat Colony Flow! Level 398 — full solution

  1. Phase 1: Tap the Cyan 20 (row 1, middle) and Cyan 45 (row 1, right) along with Blue 40 (row 1, left). Their ants clear the upper water frame and top-right sky background, emptying slots quickly.
  2. Phase 2: Tap the Dark Purple 41 (row 2, middle) and Brown 30 (row 3, middle). The dark purple ants collect the bottom corals while brown collects the base outline of the turtle.
  3. Phase 3: Tap the Green 40 (row 3, left) and the linked Light Green 46 + Cyan 25 pair (row 4, middle and right). Ants clear the sea plants and middle water blocks, exposing deeper reef pieces.
  4. Phase 4: Tap the revealed Red 10 (row 1, centre) and Dark Purple 13 (row 2, centre). They peel away the remaining red seaweed branches and lower purple background sections.
  5. Phase 5: Tap the Orange 15 and Yellow 18 (revealed in the middle stack). Their ants carry the fish in the upper-left corner and the orange-yellow coral clusters along the bottom-right floor.
  6. Phase 6: Tap the revealed Light Green 30 (row 2, right) and Light Green 20 (row 3, left). They consume the turtle's flippers and head, clearing two more slots.
  7. Phase 7: Tap the remaining Blue 35, Cyan 13, and Blue 30 from the front row. They remove the lingering blue border pixels around the perimeter.
  8. Phase 8: Tap the remaining Brown 14 and Dark Purple 1 from the final row in any order. They sweep the last remaining shell and reef fragments to complete the level.

Moves that cost you the level

  • Tapping Brown 30 early in the stack while Cyan blocks the lower shell → Brown ants find zero exposed blocks, locking a slot until surrounding water is cleared.
  • Activating the linked Light Green 46 + Cyan 25 pair without two open slots → You cannot send linked pairs unless both slots are free simultaneously.

Quick tips for Level 398

  • Always target background sky and water colours (Cyan and Blue) first to strip borders away from internal objects.
  • Keep at least two slots open before tapping linked boxes that require paired deployment.
Board breakdown5 notes
Layout
The picture shows a green and brown sea turtle swimming across a blue ocean scene with corals below and a fish top-left. Beneath the nest sits a five-slot bay and a stack with four visible rows of three boxes each, plus two mystery boxes on row 3.
Goal
Clear all pixel blocks across the turtle, ocean, and coral landscape into the nest using the ants provided by the box stack.
Opening
Begin with Blue 40, Cyan 20, and Cyan 45 from the front row. Because cyan and blue form the outermost ocean border, these boxes drain immediately without jamming slots.
Trap
Tapping the inner turtle shell colours like Brown or Yellow prematurely can trap boxes in slots, as their blocks are completely surrounded by green flippers and blue water.
Mechanic
Mystery boxes marked with a question mark conceal their colour until exposed at the front row. Linked pairs share a connector and require two open slots to enter together.

Level 398 questions

  • Why won't my brown or yellow ants harvest blocks?

Brown and yellow blocks sit deep inside the turtle shell and corals. Strip away the surrounding cyan water and green flippers first to expose them.
