Level 396 presents a puppy sitting in front of a green backdrop with massive brown counters blocking the lower body. Strip the outer light green border to uncover the puppy and release keys to open the locked stack.

How to beat Colony Flow! Level 396 — full solution
- Tap the Light Green 45 box (front row, left), the Light Green 45 box (front row, centre-left), and the Light Green 65 box (front row, centre-right). These clear the top-right green border blocks and open up the puppy's outline.
- Tap the Black 16 box (front row, right) and the Cyan 40 box (revealed in row 2, right). The Black box strips the puppy's nose and facial outlines, while the Cyan box targets the cyan collar and unlocks row 3.
- Tap the Red 37 box (row 2, centre-right) and the Hot Pink 30 box (row 2, centre-left). They eat away the puppy's ears and head shading, exposing the locked box key inside the image.
- Tap the Light Blue locked box (row 2, left) once its key is collected, along with the Hot Pink 35 box (row 3, left) and the linked Pink 25 + Light Green 24 pair (row 3, right). This clears the remaining green grass and exposes the lower brown counters.
- Tap the Red 39 box (revealed under the lock, row 3, centre) and the Yellow 50 box (row 3, right). The Red box chips down the puppy's back while the yellow helps strip the inner counter keys.
- Tap the Beige 25 box (row 2, right) and the remaining Black 35 box (row 3, left). These clear the puppy's paws, chest, and eye spots, exposing the remaining body blocks.
- Tap the Red 60 box (centre of stack) and the Pink 25 box behind it. These carry away the remaining puppy fur and face blocks.
- Tap the Light Green 35 box at the bottom of the stack to clear the final exposed grass blocks and finish the level.

- Tapping the Black 16 box before clearing enough light green → black only borders small facial features and stalls in a slot if tapped without exposed outlines.
- Tapping the linked Pink 25 + Light Green 24 pair when fewer than two slots are free → wastes buffer space and risks filling all five slots before keys are freed.
Quick tips for Level 396
- Target the light green boxes first because the vast majority of exposed boundary blocks belong to the green field.
- Wait for the brown block counters to drop automatically as their adjacent blocks are cleared, rather than hunting for brown boxes.
