How to beat Colony Flow! Level 401 — full solution

  1. Send the Red 97 box into the leftmost slot, then tap the front cyan boxes (Cyan 40, Cyan 50, Cyan 40, and Cyan 20) in any order. The red ants dismantle the red top structure while cyan ants begin stripping the background, uncovering the green vine locks and middle stack rows.
  2. Tap the Cyan 25, Red 30, Cyan 20, and Pink 19 boxes alongside the linked Green pair (Green 7 and Dark Green 22) into the slots in any order. Red and pink ants clear the remaining roof blocks while green ants start chewing into the upper vines.
  3. Deploy Light Green 10, White 11, and White 16 into the open slots as earlier boxes expire. The white ants strip Om Nom's large white eyes, peeling away the layer covering the dark pupils underneath while the green ants continue eroding the lily pad.
  4. Tap the Black 24 box into an open slot alongside Light Green 15. The black ants clear Om Nom's pupils, mouth cavity, and dark outlines while the light green ants carve into the main body.
  5. Send Brown 30, Cyan 7, Light Green 18, and Green 3 into the available slots in any order to strip the brown signposts, body contours, and outer sky tiles. Keep two adjacent slots open for the linked White 53 and Light Green 45 pair once it unlocks at the front.
  6. Trigger the linked White 53 and Light Green 45 pair, followed in any order by Green 5, Light Green 44, Brown 10, and the remaining Cyan boxes (Cyan 50, Cyan 40, Cyan 30). Finish by sending the final Cyan box to strip the last remaining border blocks.

Moves that cost you the level

  • Tapping White 53 or Black 14 early → white eyes and black pupils are completely enclosed by green and cyan tiles, causing those boxes to stall permanently in the slots.
  • Triggering the linked White 53 and Light Green 45 pair with only one free slot → linked pairs require two empty slots simultaneously and will fail to deploy or cause an accidental slot lock.

Quick tips for Level 401

  • Always count free slots before releasing linked boxes, as they demand two slots at the exact same moment.
  • Clear outer frame colours (Cyan and Red) completely before attempting to harvest interior facial features.
Board breakdown5 notes
Layout
The picture depicts Om Nom sitting on a lily pad against a cyan sky with red upper brickwork. Below the picture are five ant slots and a stack arranged four boxes wide extending downward.
Goal
Clear all coloured blocks composing the Om Nom portrait and background by deploying matching ant boxes until zero blocks remain.
Opening
Use the Red 97 box and exposed Cyan front-row boxes to strip the upper wall and outer sky, safely clearing perimeter layers without slot congestion.
Trap
The White 53 box linked to Light Green 45 sits high in the stack; deploying it before the eyes are fully exposed stalls a slot indefinitely.
Mechanic
Linked boxes share a physical connector bar and must enter two available slots together in a single tap.

Level 401 questions

  • Why won't my White ant box collect any blocks on Level 401?

Om Nom's white eyes are surrounded by outer body and sky blocks. You must remove the covering green and cyan layers before white ants can reach their target.
