Clear the outer white background and dark green foliage before releasing the bright green and yellow boxes. Free the linked green boxes early while lower rows remain obscured.

How to beat Colony Flow! Level 397 — full solution
- Tap the White 40 box (front row, column 2) and the Dark Green 30 box (front row, column 3). White ants begin stripping the picture's outer frame and dark green ants clear the outer foliage.
- Tap the linked Green 35 + Green 33 pair (front row, column 4). Both boxes occupy open slots simultaneously, taking down exposed green foliage blocks along the lower section.
- Tap the Black 40 box (front row, column 1) and the Dark Green 30 box (front row, column 4). Black ants clear the outer edge borders while dark green ants strip the remaining exposed bottom leaves.
- Tap the Yellow 35 box (front row, column 5) and the White 25 box behind it. Yellow ants strip the bright cheek spots and outer stars as the white ants finish the background edges.
- Tap the Light Green 36 box and Yellow 36 box from the unblocked middle rows. Light green ants begin clearing the forehead and snout while yellow ants strip the inner cheek clusters.
- Tap the Dark Green 29 box, Light Green 5 box, and White 28 box uncovered in the front rows. Dark green leaves at the bottom clear completely, exposing the cat's chin and paws.
- Tap the Black 23 box and Dark Purple 20 box once the eyes and ear outlines are fully exposed. Black and dark purple ants strip the facial features and inner ear borders.
- Tap the revealed Light Blue box and final Green boxes to clear the remaining eyes and forehead pixels. The cat portrait clears completely, completing the level.
