How to beat Food Hunt: Pixel Puzzle Level 256 — full solution
- Tap the front-row Dark Grey 10 (column 1), Beige 13 (column 2), and Light Green 21 (column 4). These send ants to strip the outer dark border, the wooden plate rim, and the upper salad leaves, freeing up bays as they deplete.
- Tap the uncovered Orange 20 jar, the revealed Hot Pink 19, and the Beige 25 jar. The ants eat the outer perimeter garnish, outer tomato slices, and lower plate border, bringing the first wave of jars to completion.
- Send the Light Green 17 jar, the Dark Grey 12 jar, and the White 23 jar into the bays. These eat exposed salad clusters, border outlines, and outer egg whites, revealing the deeper meat and yolk pixels.
- Deploy the Lilac 2 jar, the Light Green 12 jar, and the Hot Pink 23 jar. They continue clearing the central ham slice outlines and surrounding salad leaves while maintaining at least one empty bay.
- Tap the Red 4 jar, the Orange 11 jar, and the Beige 14 jar. The ants eat the exposed tomato slices and fried egg rim, steadily exposing the lower white and yellow sections.
- Tap the Red 45 jar, the Light Green 26 jar, and the Dark Grey 10 jar. They chip away at the meat marbling and outer garnish layers, uncovering the key jar in the grid.
- Send the Key-bearing White 21 jar and the Hot Pink 35 jar into the bays. Consuming the exposed whites transfers the key toward the locked jar at the bottom-right.
- Tap the Yellow 10 jar and the White 18 jar to clear the egg yolk and inner egg white. Once both keys are collected, the locked Padlock 2 jar unlocks.
- Deploy the unlocked Light Blue 36 jar, the Green 32 jar, and the remaining Dark Grey 37 jar to remove remaining inner details and plate shadow contours.
- Tap the Hot Pink 39 jar, the Orange 33 jar, and the final Green 28 jar. They devour the remaining steak cutlet and garnish pixels, completing the board.

Moves that cost you the level
- Tapping the Yellow 10 jar while the yolk is completely encased in egg white → the jar stalls indefinitely in a bay, creating a bottleneck.
- Sending the Hot Pink 45 jar before the outer dark borders and tomato skins are stripped → the ants have no targets and stall.
- Ignoring key jars in the stack → the locked Padlock 2 jar remains blocked, preventing access to the final required colours.
Quick tips for Level 256
- Prioritize border colours like Dark Grey and outer Beige to uncover underlying sections faster.
- Always leave at least one bay open so high-count jars do not clog the queue when smaller jars need to rotate in.
Board breakdown5 notes
- Layout
- A pixel art plate of steak, eggs, sliced tomatoes, and lettuce sits above an ant hole and five empty bays. Beneath the bays is a staggered grid of numbered jars containing standard jars, key jars, and a padlock-locked jar.
- Goal
- Feed all pixels on the breakfast plate to the ants using jars from the stack without letting all five bays stall.
- Opening
- Start by tapping the front-row Dark Grey 10, Beige 13, and Light Green 21 to strip the outer plate rim and garnish.
- Trap
- The inner Yellow yolk pixels are completely surrounded by White and Dark Grey; tapping Yellow too early locks a bay for an extended period.
- Mechanic
- Key jars display a key icon that flies to the locked jar (Padlock 2) upon collection, opening it once the required number of keys are collected.
