How to beat Food Hunt: Pixel Puzzle Level 258 — full solution

  1. Tap Green 26 (col 1, row 1), Light Green 41 (col 2, row 1), and White 6 (col 3, row 1). Next, tap Orange 6 and White 7 from col 1, followed by Orange 16. Green and light green ants strip the bottom grass while white ants remove exposed outer fleece.
  2. Tap Grey 18 (col 3, row 1), Red 3 (col 2, row 1), and Grey 16. White 12 enters a bay as white pixels clear. The stalled Orange jars wait in bays 1 and 2 while grey and green ants continue stripping outer edges, reducing the planks.
  3. Tap Brown 7 (col 2, row 1) into Bay 4 once the first green jars clear. White 12 and Green 14 finish their pixels. Ants eat exposed dark background around the upper border, uncovering Black 50 in col 2.
  4. Tap Black 50 (col 2, row 1) into Bay 3, White 10, Grey 68, and White 14 from col 1, then Light Green 21 into Bay 5. Swarming black ants rapidly chew through the sky pixels and sharply reduce both planks.
  5. Tap White 20, White 22, Black 90 from col 1, then Red 2 from col 2. Light Green 12 finishes the grass. Clearing the inner white edges finally exposes the character's orange and brown body details, activating the stalled Orange 16, Orange 6, and Brown 7 jars.
  6. Tap Yellow 5 (col 4, row 1) and Light Green 23 into open bays as the yellow crescent moon becomes exposed. Orange and brown jars finish emptying. Black ants break the upper sky plank and wear the lower plank down to 128.
  7. Tap Black 76 (col 2, row 1) to destroy the remaining planks. Tap Yellow 5, White 5, and Lilac 32 into bays as slots free up. Remaining light green and yellow ants strip the moon and base completely.
  8. Tap Brown 28, Red 2, and White 57 from col 2, followed by Black 22, Lilac 3, White 4, Beige 1, and Brown 1 into the five bays. Ants strip the character's head outline, ears, and body.
  9. Tap Dark Grey 33 into the final bay. Black, lilac, white, beige, brown, and dark grey ants consume all remaining facial details and background pixels to clear the board.

Moves that cost you the level

  • Tapping Yellow 5 on the opening board → yellow pixels on the crescent moon are completely buried inside the black sky and behind planks, leaving the jar stalled in a bay indefinitely.
  • Tapping Orange 6 and Orange 16 before the white fleece is eaten → orange body pixels are deeply covered, clogging two bays for multiple phases.

Quick tips for Level 258

  • Target green and white jars first because their pixels sit directly on the exposed bottom and outer edges.
  • Uncover and tap Black jars as soon as possible to chip away the massive sky area and destroy the high-value planks.
Board breakdown5 notes
Layout
Five bays sit above a four-column jar grid that feeds additional jars upward. The picture displays a cartoon character sleeping on grass against a night sky with a yellow crescent moon and two planks (values 700 and 800).
Goal
Clear all pixels from the picture by breaking both planks and completely emptying every jar across all five bays.
Opening
Start with Green 26, Light Green 41, and White 6 to consume the exposed grass base and fleece edges without risking a bay stall.
Trap
Yellow 5 in the front row is an immediate trap because the crescent moon is fully encased in black sky and blocked by planks.
Mechanic
Planks protect the pixels beneath them and take damage as black ants eat away adjacent exposed sky tiles.

Level 258 questions

  • Why is Yellow 5 not moving in Food Hunt: Pixel Puzzle Level 258?

The yellow crescent moon is completely surrounded by black sky and planks. Yellow ants cannot reach it until Black jars clear the surrounding sky.
