Clear an anime-style pixel portrait by stripping its border and background before tackling the layered pink hair and facial features. Focus on clearing the extensive light blue background and outer dark blue jacket first to free up slots for the internal hair and face colors.

How to beat Colony Flow! Level 498 — full solution
- Tap the Purple 31 box already in the first slot, followed by the Light Blue 35 box and Yellow 5 box from the front row. They strip the exposed light blue corners, yellow tie details, and outer purple jacket lines.
- Tap the White 22 box and Dark Purple 31 box as they become accessible in the front row. Ants remove the white collar edges and outer dark hair shading, opening the border completely.
- Tap the Light Blue 36 box and Hot Pink 33 box from the stack. They begin whittling away the extensive light blue background border and outer fringe of the character's pink hair.
- Tap the Yellow 7 box, Pink 32 box, and Red/Hot Pink 15 box from the front row. They carry away the remaining yellow accents and expose the inner face and hair layers.
- Tap the White 30 box and revealed mystery boxes as they shift forward to clear the remaining clothing outlines and eye highlights.
- Tap the remaining Pink 35 box, Hot Pink 9 box, and Dark Purple boxes to clear the bulk of the hair and facial outlines.
- Tap the final Light Blue boxes to clear the remaining light blue blocks at the very top of the frame, completing the level.

Moves that cost you the level
- Tapping the Pink 32 or Hot Pink 33 boxes before clearing the outer Light Blue and Dark Purple borders → pink hair blocks are entirely encased, causing the boxes to stall in slots and trigger an overflow loss.
- Tapping White 22 before the jacket blocks are stripped → the white shirt blocks are buried beneath the dark jacket lines and cannot be collected immediately.
Quick tips for Level 498
- Prioritize Light Blue and Dark Purple boxes early because they form the outer perimeter and lock all other colors inside.
- Keep at least two slots open whenever tapping hair or face colors, since they uncover progressively rather than all at once.
