Colony Flow! level guide
Colony Flow! Level 499 Walkthrough
Level 499 features a pixel-art duck wearing a cap against a green backdrop. Clear the outer border and brown tail first to uncover the white body and head details. Avoid filling slots with inner body colours before their edges are fully exposed.

How to beat Colony Flow! Level 499 — full solution
- Wait for Brown 35 in slot 3 to remove the brown tail block, then tap Purple 15 (row 1, column 2). This begins targeting the cap brim while Green 34 clears border blocks.
- Tap Black 24 (row 1, column 3) and Orange 21 (row 1, column 4) into the free slots. The black ants remove the outline around the tail and the orange ants start chipping the duck's beak and feet.
- Tap Red 1 into the newly opened slot as soon as Brown 35 finishes. The red ant removes the cap trim, keeping slots cycling without stalling.
- Tap White 38 (row 1, column 2) once white pixels along the duck's back and neck become exposed. The white ants begin stripping the body layers, reducing slot congestion.
- Tap Black 25 (row 1, column 4) and Purple 13 (row 2, column 3) as the earlier purple and black boxes expire. These boxes clear the remaining cap crown and the chest outline.
- Tap Black 28 (row 1, column 2) and White 35 (row 2, column 2) to continue stripping the inner white belly and head. The duck's main torso dissolves into the nest.
- Tap Black 26 and Pink 5 to clear the remaining head outlines and beak accents. All interior duck features are completely removed, leaving only the green background.
- Tap the remaining Green 35 and Green 30 boxes across the front row of the stack in any order. The green ants carry away the entire outer frame to finish the stage.

Moves that cost you the level
- Tapping White 38 at the start → White pixels are completely enclosed by the green background and brown tail, leaving the box stuck in a slot.
- Sending multiple green boxes early → With the brown tail blocking the lower half, too many green boxes fill all five slots and prevent tapping needed outline colours.
Quick tips for Level 499
- Prioritize finishing the Brown 35 box early because its 160-block tail covers the white duck body.
- Watch the countdown on the cap's 250 counter block to time your purple and black deployments.
Board breakdown5 notes
- Layout
- Five slots sit below the pixel picture of a duck in a cap on a green field. Beneath the slots is a stack arranged in four columns.
- Goal
- Carry away all blocks in the pixel art, including the large brown tail cluster and the duck's cap, using ant boxes from the stack.
- Opening
- Let the pre-filled Brown 35 and Green 34 boxes chew through the bottom tail and outer border before tapping Purple 15.
- Trap
- Tapping White 38 while the duck's body is still completely shielded by green and brown blocks will stall a slot indefinitely.
- Mechanic
- Blocks with high numeric counters require repeated box deployments of the matching colour before that region fully vanishes.
Level 499 questions
-
What should I clear first in Colony Flow! Level 499?
Allow the Brown 35 box in slot 3 to finish removing the brown tail blocks so the white body becomes exposed.
-
Why is my White box stuck in a slot on Level 499?
White blocks are locked inside the duck's outline; clear the brown tail and black borders first before sending white ants.
