How to beat Colony Flow! Level 403 — full solution
- Start by letting the pre-placed Light Blue 30 box in slot 1 deploy its ants on the outer sea border. Tap the Light Blue 35 box from the front row to clear the exposed upper sky and borders. Two slots are in use.
- Tap the Yellow 15 box from the front row to begin chipping away the exposed corner of the yellow sun, then tap the Red 5 box to expose the lower stack rows. Four slots are active while light blue tiles continue peeling away.
- As the first Light Blue box finishes and clears its slot, tap the revealed Light Blue 34 box to maintain constant harvesting of the broad sky and ocean background. Keep one slot open to buffer smaller accent boxes.
- Tap the White 13 box from the middle row to harvest exposed white frame and lounger outlines, followed by the Green box to clear the pineapple crown on the right edge. Three slots remain occupied as the borders recede inward.
- Tap the Brown 20 box and Yellow 20 box to dismantle the sand base, pineapple fruit, and sun core. The bulk of the background is now completely cleared, exposing the central pink lounger figure.
- Deploy the remaining Pink, Red, and White boxes in any order to finish off the swimsuit, skin details, and remaining deckchair legs. All slots clear as the final pixels enter the nest.

Moves that cost you the level
- Tapping the Red 6 or Pink 20 boxes while the figure is still completely surrounded by blue sky → the ants have no exposed swimsuit blocks to carry, clogging the slots for the entire opening.
- Filling all five slots with small accent boxes (Red, Green, White) before the primary Light Blue background clears → board locks up because the edge tiles cannot be cleared to expose inner colours.
Quick tips for Level 403
- Focus on Light Blue and Cyan boxes early; they form the entire border and must be whittled down before any interior figure tiles become accessible.
- Reserve at least one free slot when cycling through background boxes so smaller detail boxes like Green and Brown can clear immediately without causing a jam.
Board breakdown5 notes
- Layout
- A pixel canvas depicts a beach scene with a central figure in a pink swimsuit on a white deckchair, a yellow sun top-left, and a pineapple on the right, all bordered by blue sky and ocean. Below are five slots, two ant nests, and a deep multi-column stack.
- Goal
- Carry away all blocks from the beach portrait into the nests by selecting matching ant boxes from the stack.
- Opening
- The level opens with a Light Blue 30 box already occupying slot 1. Immediately tap the exposed Light Blue 35 box to strip the expansive sky borders and unlock deeper stack options.
- Trap
- The Red and Pink swimsuit boxes in the stack are tempting to tap early, but the figure is entirely enclosed by sea and sky blocks; sending them in too soon will stall them in the slots indefinitely.
- Mechanic
- Blocks must have at least one exterior edge free of neighboring pixels for ants of that colour to harvest them. Removing exterior layers progressively uncovers inner motifs.
Level 403 questions
-
What should I tap first in Colony Flow! Level 403?
Tap the Light Blue boxes first. The ocean and sky enclose the entire illustration, so Light Blue ants must clear the perimeter before any inner elements can be harvested.
-
Why are my pink and red ants not picking up blocks?
The pink figure is trapped inside the deckchair and sea pixels. Clear the surrounding white and blue blocks first to expose the pink pixels to the outside edge.
