How to beat Colony Flow! Level 284 — full solution
- Tap the Black 116 box (front row, far right), the Brown 25 box (front row, far left), and the Cyan 20 box (row 2, far right). Their ants start stripping the dark outer silhouette, freeing the edges of the picture.
- Tap the Brown 36 box (front row, middle right) and the revealed Pink box behind it into the remaining free bays. Black, Brown, Pink, and Cyan ants actively dismantle the outer ring.
- Allow the first Brown box to exhaust completely to clear a bay. Tap the Orange 30 box and Yellow box from the unblocked stack to start chipping away at the outer fur patches.
- Keep Black and Pink running in their bays as Black counts down to single digits and exposes white and cyan layers underneath.
- Tap the extra bay booster on the left to add a temporary holding bay, preventing a buffer stall while Pink and Cyan continue stripping blocks.
- Tap the linked White 48 and Orange 36 pair as the inner core opens up. Both boxes deploy together into available bays and peel off central highlights.
- Tap the Brown 45 box and Pink 25 box from the stack. They target the exposed branch and inner cheek contours, bringing all remaining colours into single digits.
- Tap the Orange 20 box and final Yellow box to gather the last scattered squirrel pixels and empty the canvas.

Moves that cost you the level
- Tapping the linked White 48 and Orange 36 pair before clearing the outer black outline → white pixels remain fully shielded inside the picture, stalling a bay indefinitely.
- Filling all five bays with warm colours (Orange, Pink, Brown) in the opening → none can reach the interior pixels until Black removes the exterior border.
Quick tips for Level 284
- Prioritize the Black 116 box immediately since black blocks frame almost the entire outer edge.
- Linked boxes require two free bays simultaneously; ensure you have enough buffer before tapping them.
Board breakdown5 notes
- Layout
- A central squirrel and acorn pixel artwork surrounded by a thick black and brown border, backed by cyan and purple sky patches. The stack below is four columns wide with multiple linked pairs.
- Goal
- Completely remove all coloured blocks from the squirrel illustration using ant boxes from the stack without jamming all five bays.
- Opening
- Tap the Black 116 and Brown 25 boxes right away. Black has the most exposed perimeter blocks on the board and creates safe entry points to inner layers.
- Trap
- The White 48 box linked to Orange 36 is a major trap if triggered too early, as white blocks are deeply buried behind cyan and black.
- Mechanic
- Linked boxes joined by an indicator bar must deploy into two bays simultaneously when either box is tapped.
Level 284 questions
-
What should I tap first on Colony Flow! Level 284?
Tap Black 116 and Brown 25 from the front row. Black strips the outer outline and prevents early slot lockups.
-
When should I deploy the linked White 48 box?
Wait until Black and Cyan have cleared the upper-left quadrant so that white blocks are directly exposed before tapping it.
