Colony Flow! Level 287 Walkthrough

hard Live 9 colours / pieces Checked September 20, 2026

Level 287 is marked Hard and features a concentric spiral pixel picture of multiple layers. Strip outer shells systematically to reveal interior shades while managing the five ant slots carefully. Never tap the linked Purple 25 pair until the innermost purple blocks are fully exposed.

How to beat Colony Flow! Level 287 — full solution

  1. Phase 1: Tap the Orange 45 box (front row, right), the Black 50 box (front row, left), and the Cyan 36 box (front row, middle) to start stripping the outer corners and frames. This leaves two slots open.
  2. Phase 2: Tap the Red 24 box (now front row, left) and the Light Green 32 box (row 2, middle). The ants peel away the exposed outer green and red perimeter bands, freeing up front slots as boxes finish.
  3. Phase 3: Tap the Yellow 50 box (row 2, right) and the Cyan 20 box (row 2, right). Ants clear the intermediate yellow band and cyan corners, exposing inner green and purple sections.
  4. Phase 4: Tap the Light Green 48 box (bottom row, left) and the Red 50 box (bottom row, middle). These boxes strip remaining lower outer red sections and inner light green blocks, opening access toward the center.
  5. Phase 5: Tap the Dark Purple 50 box and the Pink 45 box from the stack. The ants gather exposed dark purple borders and pink patches, revealing the core spiral.
  6. Phase 6: Tap the linked Purple 25 + Purple 25 pair, followed by the remaining Orange 7 and Purple 37 boxes in any order. The ants collect all remaining core purple and orange pixels until the board is completely cleared.

Moves that cost you the level

  • Tapping the linked Purple 25 pair in the opening → the purple core blocks are buried under multiple outer layers, causing both purple boxes to deadlock two slots for most of the game.
  • Sending the Pink 45 box into a slot before peeling the surrounding dark purple and cyan rings → pink has no exposed blocks and sits completely idle.

Quick tips for Level 287

  • Work strictly from outside inwards: outer red, orange, and black blocks must clear before inner neon rings can be reached.
  • Keep at least two slots open whenever preparing to trigger the linked purple pair so both boxes fit without choking the queue.
Board breakdown5 notes
Layout
The picture is a square concentric spiral containing layers of red, orange, yellow, light green, cyan, dark purple, pink, and purple. Underneath sit five empty slots and a stack arranged three wide and four rows deep, featuring a linked pair of Purple 25 boxes across rows.
Goal
Clear all pixel blocks across the concentric pattern using the boxes in the stack without overcrowding the 5 slots.
Opening
Tap outer-layer boxes first: Black 50, Cyan 36, and Orange 45 immediately find exposed exterior blocks on the borders.
Trap
The linked Purple 25 pair occupies two full slots simultaneously; tapping it early stalls both boxes because purple blocks sit at the very center of the board.
Mechanic
Linked boxes are joined by a physical link bar and must enter the slots at the exact same moment, requiring two vacant slots.

Level 287 questions

  • When should I tap the linked Purple 25 boxes on Level 287?

Wait until the outer black, red, yellow, and green rings are cleared so the central purple spiral is fully exposed.

  • Why are my ants not collecting any blocks after tapping a box?

Ants only target exposed outer edges. If the colour is buried beneath other layers, the box will stall in the slot.
