How to beat Colony Flow! Level 28 — full solution

  1. Tap the Light Blue 40 box (front row, left), the Black 30 box (revealed in front row, middle), and the Light Blue 38 box (revealed in front row, right). Ants begin removing the outer light blue border blocks while Black waits briefly until outline blocks expose; three slots are in use.
  2. Tap the Yellow 6 box (front row, left) as the front Light Blue finishes. Yellow ants clear exposed outer ear and head blocks, advancing the countdown on the active boxes.
  3. Tap the Red 19 box (front row, right). Red ants target exposed collar segments while Black and Yellow continue to count down across the active slots.
  4. Tap the White 35 box (front row, middle) once Black and Light Blue clear from the slots. White ants clear the exposed lower neck and jaw area.
  5. Tap the Black 33 box (front row, middle) to deploy black ants on the newly uncovered mouth outlines and facial borders, keeping four slots active.
  6. Tap the Light Blue 40 box (front row, left) and the Light Blue 35 box (front row, right) to take down the remaining upper background corners as earlier boxes empty.
  7. Tap the Pink 8 box (front row, middle) to clear the nose and inner mouth area once the surrounding white blocks are gone.
  8. Tap the Blue 42 box (front row, middle) to strip the blue ribbon section in the dog's collar.
  9. Tap the Yellow 35 box (front row, left) and the Yellow 40 box (front row, right) to clear the large yellow ear and face blocks; two slots are occupied.
  10. Tap the White 35 box (front row, left) and the Black 30 box (front row, middle) to dismantle the inner face borders and muzzle.
  11. Tap the Light Blue 37 box (front row, left), the Black 26 box (front row, middle), and the Yellow 40 box (front row, right) to strip the final remaining background and head blocks.
  12. Tap the White 30 box (front row, right) to clear the last white cheek pixels and finish the level with an empty board.

Moves that cost you the level

  • Tapping the Pink 8 box in the opening move → the nose and tongue are completely buried behind outer border blocks, causing the box to sit stuck in a slot and reducing your buffer space.
  • Tapping the Blue 42 box before clearing the surrounding white and red blocks → blue collar blocks remain unexposed, stalling the box.

Quick tips for Level 28

  • Clear the surrounding Light Blue background pixels before tackling the inner face features to keep blocks constantly exposed.
  • Monitor which boxes are about to deplete before tapping another large-count box to prevent jamming all five slots.
Board breakdown5 notes
Layout
The pixel canvas shows a dog portrait surrounded by a light blue frame. Beneath the picture sits a dual ant nest above five open slots, with an extensive box stack below.
Goal
Completely remove all blocks from the dog picture by deploying ant boxes from the stack before running out of free slots.
Opening
Open with the Light Blue 40 box and Black 30 box to carve out the exposed outer borders and edges safely.
Trap
Sending the Pink 8 box too early traps it in a slot because pink blocks are sealed in the center of the muzzle.
Mechanic
Mystery boxes marked with question marks uncover their true colours and counts as soon as they reach the front row.

Level 28 questions

  • What should I tap first on Colony Flow! Level 28?
