Colony Flow! level guide
Colony Flow! Level 164 Walkthrough
Level 164 features a pixel raccoon surrounded by a yellow backdrop. Use outer Yellow and Brown boxes to strip the picture's borders before deploying Blue, Black, and White boxes inside. Tapping White or Black too early jams the slots.

How to beat Colony Flow! Level 164 — full solution
- Phase 1: Tap the Yellow 45 box in the front row, left, and the Yellow 60 box in the front row, right. Ants immediately clear the yellow outer perimeter blocks along the bottom and sides, opening slot capacity as their counts deplete.
- Phase 2: Tap the Brown 33 box in the front row, second from left, and the Black 50 box in the front row, fourth from left. Ants clear the exposed brown and black outline blocks around the base of the raccoon.
- Phase 3: Tap the Blue 37 box (row 2, left) and the linked Yellow 45 + Brown 40 pair in the centre columns. The yellow ants finish the lower background framing while the brown ants strip the raccoon's lower outline.
- Phase 4: Tap the Blue 30 box (row 2, fourth from left) and the linked Blue 45 + Yellow 35 pair (far right). Ants target the exposed blue patches across the raccoon's body and arms, carving deep into the middle layer.
- Phase 5: Tap the Brown 20 box (row 2, second from left) and the Black 40 box (row 3, second from left). Ants pick up the interior outline blocks around the chest, exposing the inner white belly blocks.
- Phase 6: Tap the White 40 box (row 3, centre) and the White 30 box revealed behind it. White ants clear the belly patch and muzzle blocks, freeing both slots quickly once the white section vanishes.
- Phase 7: Tap the Black 34 box, Black 30 box, and Black 20 box from the lower stack. Ants clear the eye masks, nose, and tail rings, exposing the remaining blue forehead and ear pixels.
- Phase 8: Tap the remaining Blue 26 box, Brown 19 box, and Yellow boxes in any order. The ants collect the remaining ears, head contours, and the top yellow background row to finish the level.

Moves that cost you the level
- Tapping the White 40 box in the front phase → white blocks are completely buried inside the raccoon's chest and muzzle, causing the box to get stuck in a slot until you run out of spaces.
- Tapping the linked Yellow 45 + Brown 40 pair when only one slot is free → linked boxes require two vacant slots simultaneously, so the tap will fail or block essential cycling.
Quick tips for Level 164
- Strip the outer Yellow border before touching any Blue or White boxes, since inner colours cannot be reached until the frame is gone.
- Always maintain at least two open slots whenever you intend to tap linked boxes.
Board breakdown5 notes
- Layout
- The picture depicts a raccoon on a solid yellow background. Below the exit nest are 5 empty slots and a stack arranged across multiple 5-box rows, including several linked box pairs.
- Goal
- Clear all coloured pixel blocks from the raccoon portrait using the ant boxes in the stack without jamming all 5 slots.
- Opening
- Start by tapping the front Yellow 45 and Yellow 60 boxes to peel away the bottom-most yellow border pixels and create working room.
- Trap
- The White 40 and White 30 boxes cannot reach any targets until Brown, Blue, and Black blocks covering the raccoon's chest are stripped away. Sending White into a slot early causes an irrecoverable stall.
- Mechanic
- Linked boxes joined by a connecting bar move into two slots at the same time and require two empty bays to be tapped.
Level 164 questions
-
What should I tap first on Level 164?
Tap the front-row Yellow boxes first to strip the bottom and sides of the background, uncovering the raccoon's outer brown border.
-
Why won't my linked boxes move into the slots?
Linked boxes enter together and require at least two unoccupied slots. Clear existing single boxes before tapping them.
