How to beat Colony Flow! Level 161 — full solution
- Send the Coral 38 box (front row, column 2) and Red 35 box (front row, column 1) into the slots alongside the active Coral 34 box. Their ants begin peeling the outer red border blocks from the top and side corners, leaving three slots in use.
- Tap the Light Blue 15 box (front row, column 3) and Black 40 box (front row, column 4) to enter the open slots. They clear exposed dark outlines and the outer edges of the flowerpot while the red border recedes.
- Advance the Black 35 box and incoming Light Blue boxes into vacated slots as the first batch of red ants finishes. The ants strip the outer dark framing around the upper background and pot silhouette.
- Deploy the Orange 40 boxes from the second and third rows into available slots. The orange ants strip the broad arch surrounding the flower petals, exposing the pink flower and green stem.
- Send the Green 35 box and Hot Pink 15 box into open slots once their respective sections are exposed. Ants strip the upper foliage and the outermost petal tips, freeing up slots as they finish.
- Bring in the Light Green boxes and Black 8 box to dismantle the plant head and mouth details. At the same time, keep Coral 18 active to continue trimming down the remaining red side wings.
- Tap the revealed Brown 17 and Brown 20 boxes once the pot opening is exposed to carry away the soil blocks. Use incoming Light Blue boxes to dismantle the blue flowerpot body.
- Clear the remaining Pink 20, Hot Pink 13, and finishing Coral boxes in any order as they surface. The final ants carry away the remaining petal and background remnants to complete the picture.

Moves that cost you the level
- Tapping the Green 35 box or Brown boxes right at the start → the stem and soil are completely buried behind the background, pot, and petals, permanently jamming slots until you run out of space.
Quick tips for Level 161
- Work from the outer frame inward: red and orange background blocks shield all plant and pot pieces.
- Avoid filling all five slots with different colors; keep at least one slot cycling quickly to maintain flexibility.
Board breakdown5 notes
- Layout
- A pixel-art image of a carnivorous plant in a light blue flowerpot sits above a nest hole and five holding slots. Below the slots is a four-column stack of ant boxes.
- Goal
- Clear all coloured blocks from the potted plant picture by matching ant box colours to exposed outer pixels.
- Opening
- Start with Coral and Red boxes from the front row of the stack to strip the exterior border blocks, which are immediately exposed.
- Trap
- Tapping the Green 35 box in the second row before the orange background arch is cleared will strand it in a slot with no accessible green pixels.
- Mechanic
- Ants can only collect blocks that touch an open edge; inner features like the soil and stem remain locked until their surrounding layers are removed.
Level 161 questions
-
What should I tap first on Level 161?
Tap Coral and Red boxes first. The red border covers the perimeter, so only red and coral ants have immediate work.
