Colony Flow! level guide
Colony Flow! Level 166 Walkthrough
Clear a pixel-art running hero surrounded by a light blue sky and white speed lines across five slots. Manage linked light blue and blue pairs while delaying inner yellow and red boxes until the outer borders recede. Stalling occurs if yellow boxes fill the slots before the hero's body is uncovered.

How to beat Colony Flow! Level 166 — full solution
- With the linked Light Blue 400 and Red 25 pair already running in slots 1 and 2, tap the linked Light Blue 149 and Blue 43 pair at the front-right of the stack. Both slide into slots 3 and 4, targeting the exposed light blue sky and blue suit borders.
- Tap the Beige 23 box at the front-left of the stack into slot 5. Beige ants target the runner's exposed legs at the lower-left, filling all five slots while the background clears.
- Allow the active ants to work down their counts without tapping any new boxes. The linked Light Blue 149 box exhausts its count and leaves slot 3, while Red 25 and Beige 23 near completion.
- Once Beige 23 finishes and frees slot 5, tap the Yellow 49 box from the front-right of the stack. Yellow ants strip the newly uncovered yellow footwear and lower leg blocks until the box clears completely.
- Tap the Black 15 box from the middle of the stack into the open slot. Black ants harvest the exposed black knee and hand accents, uncovering the inner purple layers.
- As Light Blue 400 and Blue 43 exhaust their counts and clear their slots, tap the Purple 36 box from the right column of the stack. Purple ants dismantle the hero's belt and right arm.
- Tap the White 44 box from the left column and the Red 45 box from the center into the open slots. White ants remove horizontal speed lines across the frame, while red ants clear the upper torso.
- Tap Black 40, Yellow 40, Yellow 45, and Yellow 50 in any order as slots open up. Black ants clear the visor and gloves, and the yellow boxes systematically clear the head, torso, and wing until the final yellow block is removed.

Moves that cost you the level
- Tapping Yellow 45 or Yellow 50 in the opening → the large yellow body is entirely encased inside the blue and red frame, leaving yellow ants with no exposed blocks and permanently jamming a slot.
- Tapping White 44 early → the white speed dashes are surrounded by the light blue background, so white ants cannot reach their blocks until light blue is significantly reduced.
Quick tips for Level 166
- Prioritize clearing the vast Light Blue background blocks to expose the silhouette edges before committing secondary colours.
- Keep at least one slot open whenever linked boxes are waiting in the stack, as linked pairs require two free slots to deploy.
Board breakdown5 notes
- Layout
- A rectangular pixel grid depicting a costumed runner against a light blue sky with white motion lines. A single ant nest sits centered below the picture, with five holding slots underneath and a multi-row box stack at the bottom.
- Goal
- Empty all pixel blocks from the canvas by deploying ant boxes into the five slots without causing a deadlock.
- Opening
- Start by sending the linked Light Blue 149 and Blue 43 pair alongside Beige 23 into the three empty slots, matching the exposed border colours.
- Trap
- Yellow 45 and Yellow 50 sit directly in the front row of the stack, tempting an early tap despite all yellow pixels being locked deep within the figure.
- Mechanic
- Linked boxes share a physical connector and deploy into two slots simultaneously when either box in the pair is tapped.
Level 166 questions
-
Why can't I tap Yellow 45 or Yellow 50 at the start of Level 166?
All yellow blocks are completely buried beneath the light blue background, blue outline, and red suit. Yellow ants cannot collect shielded blocks, which stalls the box in your slot.
