Food Hunt: Pixel Puzzle Level 72 Walkthrough

hard Live 10 colours / pieces Checked September 21, 2026

Level 72 depicts the Great Wave pixel art across 728 pixels. The key is alternating between lilac sky pixels and the lower brown boat to expose the white wave crest before touching the trapped cyan body. Tapping cyan jars too early clogs bays while the wave core remains unreachable.

How to beat Food Hunt: Pixel Puzzle Level 72 — full solution

  1. With Cyan 10, Lilac 47, Purple 20, and Lilac 25 already in the bays, tap Brown 30 (row 1, centre), Yellow 6 (row 1, column 4), Yellow 10 (row 1, column 2), White 29, and Cyan 17. The ants strip the outer lilac sky and lower boat, leaving four bays active.
  2. Tap Light Blue 12 (row 1, left), Pink 46 (row 1, second from left), and Lilac 19 (row 2, left) as earlier jars empty. The ants clear the upper sky gradient and begin stripping the wave outline, leaving Lilac 1, Yellow 10, and Cyan 2 in the bays.
  3. Tap Cyan 25 (row 1, centre), Brown 20 (row 1, column 4), and Yellow 12 (row 1, right). The ants consume the remaining yellow sun rays and boat hull, reducing the picture to 71 pixels and leaving Cyan 18, Brown 16, and Yellow 11 active in the bays.
  4. Tap Orange 35 (row 1, left), Brown 22 (row 1, column 2), and Purple 10 (row 1, centre) to clear the remaining background bands. As bays empty, tap White 32 and White 20 to target the exposed wave foam, leaving White, Cyan, and Orange jars in the bays.
  5. Tap Purple 18 (row 1, left), Yellow 10 (row 1, column 2), Lilac 33 (row 1, centre), Cyan 17 (row 1, column 4), and Lilac 29 (row 1, right). The ants finish the purple sky canopy and outer wave foam, leaving White 12, Cyan 14, White 21, and Yellow 17 active.
  6. Tap Pink 23 (row 1, left), Lilac 26 (row 1, right), Purple 30 (row 2, left), Orange 24 (row 2, right), and Lilac 42 (row 3, left). The ants clear the deep wave backdrop, revealing the final White 42, Pink 46, and Cyan 37 jars in the grid.
  7. Tap White 42 (row 1, left) and Pink 46 (row 1, right) into free bays as the previous jars deplete. The ants eat away the pink horizon and the white splash around the wave core, leaving only the inner cyan wave structure and Cyan 37 remaining.
  8. Tap the final Cyan 37 jar (row 1, centre) once bays clear. The cyan ants swarm the remaining inner wave body, devouring every remaining pixel to complete the level.

Moves that cost you the level

  • Tapping the Cyan 25 or Cyan 34 jar while the wave's white foam still surrounds it → cyan pixels remain blocked, permanently locking a bay.
  • Filling bays with multiple Lilac and Purple jars simultaneously → Lilac ants take too long to clear the extensive sky, leaving no free bays for exposed yellow or brown pixels.

Quick tips for Level 72

  • Focus on alternating between sky colors (lilac/purple) and ground/wave colors (brown/white) to keep ants working concurrently without filling the bays with one slow-moving color.
  • Prioritize uncovering mystery jars early so you can plan for upcoming high-count jars before bays become congested.
Board breakdown5 notes
Layout
A 5-bay rack sits beneath the ant hole, above a 5-column jar grid. Above, a 728-pixel Great Wave picture features layered sky in lilac, purple, and pink, a rising sun and boat in yellow and brown, and wave crests in white, cyan, and light blue.
Goal
Clear all 728 pixels of the Great Wave picture by matching jar colors to exposed edges across 5 bays.
Opening
Lilac and purple sky pixels border the top, while white wave foam and brown boat pixels are exposed along the lower perimeter, allowing early progress without stalling.
Trap
Tapping high-count Cyan or Light Blue jars before the outer sky and foam borders are peeled away stalls bays, as the inner wave body is completely locked.
Mechanic
Mystery jars marked with question marks sit in lower rows and reveal their true color and number once the blocking jar in front is cleared.

Level 72 questions

  • What should I tap first in Food Hunt: Pixel Puzzle Level 72?

Start with the exposed border colors: lilac and purple to erode the sky, and brown to clear the lower boat sections, freeing up space for white wave foam.

  • Why do my cyan jars stall on Level 72?

The cyan wave pixels are buried beneath outer white foam and background sky. Do not tap cyan jars until the surrounding white pixels have been cleared.
