Food Hunt: Pixel Puzzle Level 51 Walkthrough

hard Live 9 colours / pieces Checked September 22, 2026

Level 51 features a detailed pixel-art torii gate standing in ocean water with clouds and sky. Clear the outer Blue water and White clouds first to expose the gate's structure and its water reflections. Do not let the Purple jar clog a bay while the water still covers its reflection.

How to beat Food Hunt: Pixel Puzzle Level 51 — full solution

  1. Tap Blue 30 (row 1, column 4) and Grey 25 (row 1, column 3). Follow with Yellow and Brown jars from the opening stack. Blue and White clear the perimeter ocean and outer clouds, opening the edges of the picture while freeing bay space.
  2. Tap Grey 32 (row 1, column 4) and Cyan 23 (row 1, column 1). Route White 14 and Blue 16 into the bays to continue stripping clouds and lower ocean. A Purple jar enters bay 1 and stalls because the water reflection is still submerged.
  3. Tap Blue 43 (row 1, column 1) and Cyan 21 (row 1, column 4). Bring Orange 4 and Brown 1 into bays 3 and 5. Ants strip the cyan sky surrounding the gate and begin nibbling the orange gate accents while Brown reduces the pillar bases.
  4. Tap Dark Grey 4 into bay 3 and Blue 3 into bay 4. As the blue water surrounding the gate base vanishes, the water reflection is finally uncovered. The stalled Purple jar in bay 1 activates at last, eating the lilac and purple water ripples.
  5. Tap Red 6 and Dark Grey 12 into open bays. Ants strip the dark grey roof brackets and begin dismantling the red upper beam and pillars. The Purple jar finishes and leaves bay 1, restoring your full bay buffer.
  6. Tap Yellow 5 (row 1, column 1), Yellow 5 (row 1, column 2), and Dark Grey 9 (row 1, column 3). Send Cyan 14 to bay 5. Ants devour the central yellow inscription tablet and reduce the remaining roof framing, emptying multiple bays simultaneously.
  7. Tap Red 8 and Red 12 into bays 2 and 3, followed by Orange and Brown 4 into bays 4 and 5. Ants chew through the thick red gate pillars and horizontal crossbars. A Dark Grey jar finishes the remaining brackets.
  8. Tap Cyan 47 into bay 2, Blue 12 into bay 3, and Cyan 3 into bay 5 alongside Brown 5. Ants clear the lower gate supports and begin carving away the extensive Cyan sky backdrop behind the torii gate.
  9. Tap Cyan 32 and Brown 1 into the final available bays. The ants consume the last remaining Cyan sky patches in the upper corners and the final torii footing pixel to win the level.

Moves that cost you the level

  • Tapping the Purple jar early without clearing the ocean → the Purple jar occupies a bay with zero exposed pixels, cutting your working space to four slots for dozens of moves.
  • Filling bays with multiple Red jars while the outer frame is intact → Red pixels form the inner torii gate, so Red jars stall until the outer sky and water are stripped.

Quick tips for Level 51

  • Always clear perimeter colours (Blue water and White clouds) first so interior structures and water reflections become exposed.
  • Monitor the five-bay limit carefully whenever a stalled jar is stuck; avoid tapping jars whose colours are not yet on the picture's outer edges.
  • Pay attention to columns with large Cyan and Red stacks, clearing them steadily as soon as their target pixels are exposed to avoid bottlenecks.
Board breakdown5 notes
Layout
The picture shows a Japanese torii gate standing in the sea under a sky with white clouds. Beneath the ant hole are 5 bays, and below them sits a 4-column jar grid feeding upward.
Goal
Completely dismantle the torii gate, water reflections, ocean, clouds, and sky by matching jars to exposed pixel colours.
Opening
Start by tapping Blue 30 and Grey 25 to begin stripping the ocean water and roof edges, quickly followed by White to clear the clouds.
Trap
The Purple jar stalls in a bay immediately if sent out early, because its pixels represent the torii gate's water reflection, which is completely covered by Blue water and Cyan sky.
Mechanic
Each column of the jar grid is a stacked queue. Tapping the front jar in row 1 advances the jars behind it upward and reveals new incoming jars from below.

Level 51 questions

  • Why is my Purple jar not counting down on Level 51?

Purple pixels are located in the torii gate's water reflection. You must clear the surrounding Blue ocean and Cyan water pixels first before ants can reach the Purple reflection.

  • How do I avoid running out of bays on Level 51?

Because the Purple jar stays stalled in a bay for a large part of the puzzle, treat your board as having only four usable bays until the water reflection opens up.
