How to beat Food Hunt: Pixel Puzzle Level 53 — full solution

  1. Tap the Dark Grey 30 jar in the front row, followed by the Light Green 17 jar and Light Green 20 jar. Tap the Cyan 9 jar as it becomes available. Dark Grey ants begin chewing the wolf outline while Light Green ants strip away the lower grass border.
  2. Tap the White 20 jar and Beige 10 jar as the front row clears. The Dark Grey 30 jar finishes stripping the outline, exposing the sheep wool and the lower wolf body. The Light Green jars finish clearing most of the grass base, leaving three bays occupied.
  3. Tap the Light Green 20 jar, Lilac 25 jar, Dark Grey 30 jar, and White 20 jar into the open bays. Lilac ants start removing exposed sections of the wolf's paws, while White ants eat into the sheep's fleece. Five bays are briefly active as counts tick down.
  4. As the White and Dark Grey jars empty, tap the Beige 5 jar, Light Green 2 jar, and two Lilac 3 jars. Lilac ants rapidly strip the wolf's lower legs and belly, while Beige ants take out the sheep's face. The board opens up as both small Lilac jars finish.
  5. Tap the Lilac 37 jar, Beige 6 jar, Light Green 10 jar, Lilac 26 jar, and White 4 jar into the freed bays. Light Green ants wipe out the remaining grass patches on both sides, while Lilac ants dismantle the wolf's torso.
  6. Allow the Beige 6, Light Green 1, and White 4 jars to finish and leave the bays. Tap the remaining White and Light Green jars to clear the sheep's back and exposed base details, leaving Lilac working down on the wolf's head.
  7. Tap the Light Green 18 jar, Cyan 25 jar, Lilac 17 jar, and Lilac 3 jar. Cyan ants remove the wolf's facial features and eyes, while Lilac ants consume the upper muzzle and ears. White ants clear the tail tip.
  8. Tap the White 21 jar and Beige 8 jar from the final grid row. White and Beige ants collect the remaining sheep legs and background pixels. All bays empty and the picture clears completely.

Moves that cost you the level

  • Tapping the Lilac 37 jar in the opening phase → the wolf fur is entirely enclosed by Dark Grey pixels, so Lilac ants stall immediately and lock a bay for several minutes.
  • Filling all five bays before the grass base is clear → lack of exposed White pixels stalls any White jars placed too early, causing a gridlock.

Quick tips for Level 53

  • Always exhaust outer border colours like Light Green and Dark Grey first to expose large inner pixel clusters.
  • Keep at least one bay open when taking high-count jars like Lilac 37 so small transition jars can cycle freely.
Board breakdown5 notes
Layout
The picture shows a purple wolf perched atop a white sheep over a strip of green grass. Below the picture is the ant hole, five jar bays, and a deep grid of coloured jars feeding from the front.
Goal
Clear all pixels from the wolf, sheep, and grass patch using jars of matching colours.
Opening
Tap the Dark Grey 30 jar and the adjacent Light Green jars. Both colours are immediately exposed on the outer borders and begin working without stalling.
Trap
Tapping large Lilac jars early in the solve. The wolf's Lilac fur is completely shielded behind Dark Grey outline pixels and cannot be reached until the outline is broken.
Mechanic
Layered pixel art requires outer edge pixels to be eaten before interior colours can be targeted by ants.

Level 53 questions

  • Why are my Lilac jars not eating pixels on Level 53?

The Lilac pixels forming the wolf's body are trapped inside the Dark Grey outline. Clear the Dark Grey outline jars first to expose the fur.

  • What is the best opening order for Level 53?

Start with Dark Grey 30 and the two Light Green jars in the front row. This clears the outer border and uncovers the inner White and Lilac sections safely.
