Food Hunt: Pixel Puzzle Level 38 Walkthrough

normal Live 8 colours / pieces Checked September 21, 2026

Level 38 features a lucky cat next to a tiered pagoda across eight colours. Win by using Dark Grey and White jars to peel the exterior outlines before spending Red and Yellow jars on the inner face and collar. Tapping interior colours prematurely will clog the bays.

How to beat Food Hunt: Pixel Puzzle Level 38 — full solution

  1. Tap Green 18 (front row, left), White 15 (front row, center), and Orange 29 (front row, right). As rear jars uncover, tap Red 10, Yellow 20, and Light Green 20 into the remaining bays. White ants clear the cat's lower paws while Green and Yellow chip at the collar and pagoda.
  2. Allow White 15 to finish and clear its bay. Tap the newly exposed Orange 29 from the front row right to replace it, leaving Green 18, Red 10, Orange 26, Yellow 6, and Light Green 20 in the bays. The ants strip the outer pagoda edges.
  3. As Yellow 6 clears, tap Dark Grey 32 (front row, left) and Dark Grey 20 (front row, center). The Dark Grey ants begin dismantling the dark outline around the pagoda and cat's left paw, leaving bays occupied by Green 18, Red 10, two Dark Grey jars, and Light Green 20.
  4. Once the outlines open up, Green 18 completes and exits. Tap Light Green 14, Dark Grey 35, and Orange 35 as slots free up. The ants chew through the pagoda structure and cat's lower torso, exposing Red 10, Dark Grey 35, and Yellow 11 in the queue.
  5. Tap White 17 (front row, center) to clear the exposed white body pixels on the cat. Red 10, Orange 35, and Light Green 14 rapidly count down on the cat's bib and collar. This exposes Grey 30 and Yellow 11 in the grid.
  6. Deploy Yellow 11, Red 17, and Dark Grey 19 as bays free up, followed by White 45. The cat's body completely vanishes, leaving only the head, ears, and coin. Only Orange 30 remains dimmed in the grid.
  7. Tap Yellow 30, Yellow 5, and White 9 into open bays to consume the lucky coin and remaining face pixels. Red 17 counts down to 8 as it strips the ear interiors. Orange 38 unblocks at the bottom of the grid.
  8. Tap Orange 38 to eat the orange fur on the cat's head and ears. Finally, let Dark Grey 3 clear the last remaining whiskers and outline pixels from bay 1. The board clears completely to finish Level 38.

Moves that cost you the level

  • Tapping Red 10 into a bay while the cat's bib and mouth are surrounded by white fur → Red stalls in the bay because no red pixels are exposed yet.
  • Queueing both Light Green jars while the collar is still shielded by dark grey outline → the Light Green jars remain idle, clogging two bays simultaneously.

Quick tips for Level 38

  • Target Dark Grey and White jars early to strip away outlines and expose inner body details.
  • Keep at least one bay open when queueing jars that share colours with buried layers.
Board breakdown5 notes
Layout
A square pixel canvas depicts a lucky cat with a raised paw beside a small tiered pagoda. Five bays sit above a grid of jars that feeds replacement jars from behind as front jars are cleared.
Goal
Clear all pixels of the lucky cat and pagoda using matching coloured jars.
Opening
Tap Green 18, White 15, and Orange 29 to start eating the exposed outer white fur, orange pagoda accents, and green collar base.
Trap
Tapping Red 10 or Yellow 20 while the cat's collar and face details are still locked behind outer outlines stalls those bays indefinitely.
Mechanic
Jars in the rear rows only become active once the jar in front of them is tapped into a bay.

Level 38 questions

  • What should I tap first on Level 38?

Tap the front-row Green 18 and White 15 jars. They target the exposed white fur and pagoda edges, opening up the deeper rows.

  • Why do my Red and Light Green jars stall on Level 38?

The red collar ribbon and light green accents are buried inside the cat's outline. Clear the outer Dark Grey outline and White body pixels first.
