How to beat Food Hunt: Pixel Puzzle Level 36 — full solution

  1. Tap the front-row Dark Grey 32, Dark Grey 40, and Red 41 jars in any order. The dark grey ants strip the exposed outer perimeter lines, while the red ants begin eating the bottom rim of the basketball, reducing Red 41 down to 17.
  2. Send the uncovered Red 45, Orange 42, and Orange 30 jars into the bays alongside White 13, Dark Grey 36, and Yellow 12 as bays free up. The bottom red segment breaks away and the padlock on the grid unlocks, exposing Red 57.
  3. Deploy Red 34 and the unlocked Red 57 into open bays. Red ants clear the bulk of the lower-left red shading, exposing the lower orange core of the ball while White 13 and Red 17 finish counting down.
  4. Tap Yellow 20 and Orange 39 into the rack to join Yellow 25, Yellow 8, and Orange 12. Ants chew through the lower-left yellow highlight stripe and surrounding orange fill, reducing White 13 down to White 11.
  5. Send Grey 16, Yellow 1, Orange 9, and Dark Grey 25 into the bays. Dark grey ants dismantle the thick central seam curved across the basketball while yellow and orange ants peel away the top-left quadrant.
  6. Tap Orange 46, Red 7, Orange 3, and Orange 10 into the bays as slots open. Ants target the remaining upper-right seams and red shading, while White reaches its final count of 4.
  7. Release Grey 50, Red 7, Red 4, White 1, and Grey 16 from the lower grid. They strip the upper black edge, internal dividers, and remaining background borders, leaving five active bays nearly empty.
  8. Tap Yellow 24 and Orange 3 from the final grid row. Yellow and orange ants consume almost all remaining central pixels, leaving only a tiny cluster of yellow and orange blocks.
  9. Allow the Orange 3 jar to finish clearing the final pixels. The entire picture clears from the board and Level 36 is complete.

Moves that cost you the level

  • Tapping Orange 42 or Orange 30 before clearing the bottom red perimeter → Orange pixels remain blocked behind the outer shell, stalling both jars and clogging two bays.
  • Sending Yellow 20 into a bay while the black outline still covers the yellow stripe → Yellow ants find no exposed targets and stall the slot.

Quick tips for Level 36

  • Prioritize Dark Grey jars whenever exposed seams exist so interior color segments become reachable faster.
  • Keep at least one bay open when peeling outer layers so surprise unlocks do not cause an accidental stall.
Board breakdown5 notes
Layout
The picture shows a basketball centered above the ant hole. Five bays sit directly above the jar grid.
Goal
Clear all pixels of the basketball image by matching ant jars to exposed colors until no pixels remain.
Opening
Start with Dark Grey 32, Dark Grey 40, and Red 41. These target directly exposed outer seams and the bottom border safely.
Trap
The inner Orange and Yellow pixels are completely encased by Dark Grey seams and bottom Red pixels; sending Orange too early clogs bays.
Mechanic
A locked jar behind the front row requires clearing key-bearing front jars before its Red 57 count can be accessed.

Level 36 questions

  • What should I tap first on Level 36?

Tap Dark Grey and Red jars from the front row first to peel off the outer outline and lower shading.

  • Why are my orange jars not eating any pixels?

Orange pixels are buried inside the basketball. You must clear the outer dark grey seams and red border before orange ants can reach them.
