How to beat Food Hunt: Pixel Puzzle Level 290 — full solution

  1. Send the Cyan 30 jar, White 21 jar, and Grey 16 jar from the front row into the bays. When bays open up, tap the Blue 8 jar and Yellow 14 jar. Cyan and white ants strip the outer horse outline, mane, and base plate.
  2. Tap the White 9 jar, White 10 jar, and Cyan 30 jar into the available bays. The ants finish eating the horse's white flank and teal saddle blanket, uncovering the internal yellow pole and bridle.
  3. Send the Grey 17 jar, Dark Grey 11 jar, Red 18 jar, and Yellow 5 jar into the bays. Grey ants clear the platform and hooves while yellow ants strip the pole, exposing the carousel's lower red canopy edge.
  4. Tap the Red 4 jar, Red 11 jar, and second Red 11 jar as bays clear, keeping yellow ants working on the stirrup. The red ants begin chewing through the scalloped canopy trim.
  5. Release the Red 10 jar and Blue 24 jar into the empty bays. Blue ants consume the central roof wedges while red ants continue stripping the adjacent canopy stripes.
  6. Send the Red 14 jars and Red 1 jar into the active slots. Red ants finish off the remaining side roof sections, uncovering the top canopy cone and the dark grey central finial.
  7. Tap the White 17 jar, Orange 8 jar, and smaller red jars (Red 4, Red 9, Red 3). White ants eat the roof peaks and white stripes while orange ants strip the peak sphere.
  8. Release the Blue 11 jar, White 3 jar, Yellow 2 jar, and Dark Grey 3 jar into the bays. These ants eat the final pixels of the carousel roof peak to finish the level.

Moves that cost you the level

  • Tapping the Blue 24 jar in the opening → blue canopy tiles are buried behind red and white trim, leaving the jar stalled in a bay.
  • Sending the Orange 8 jar while the canopy roof is intact → the orange ball at the top of the carousel is fully blocked until the final phases, locking a slot.

Quick tips for Level 290

  • Work from the bottom horse up to the canopy; clearing the horse creates wide openings to see what roof colors are exposed.
  • Keep red jars circulating steadily across the mid-game because the canopy contains the highest concentration of red pixels.
Board breakdown5 notes
Layout
The board features a pixelated carousel horse topped with a striped circus tent canopy. Below the board are five bays and several rows of jars feeding in from the bottom.
Goal
Clear all pixels of the carousel horse and roof canopy using matching colored jars without letting all five bays clog.
Opening
Start by sending the front-row Grey 16, Cyan 30, and White 21 jars, which target the fully exposed base, tail, and outer horse body.
Trap
The Orange 8 jar and Blue 24 jar sit behind early rows but target pixels situated at the very top of the carousel roof, causing stalls if tapped before the canopy trim is gone.
Mechanic
Ants can only reach pixels on the exposed perimeter of each color cluster, meaning deeper layers of the canopy remain unreachable until the borders are stripped.

Level 290 questions

  • Why do blue jars stall early in Level 290?

Blue roof segments are trapped between white and red canopy stripes. Clear the surrounding red and white trim before activating the Blue 24 jar.
