How to beat Food Hunt: Pixel Puzzle Level 142 — full solution

  1. Tap Cyan 24, Blue 36, Dark Green 35, White 30, and Hot Pink 31 from the front row in any order. Their ants eat away the outer border and exposed edge pixels, leaving all bays active.
  2. Tap Grey 60, Lilac 15, Dark Grey 70, and Red 20 as bays become available. Ants strip the grey backdrop and outer frame, opening access to inner cat outlines and background shapes.
  3. Send in Purple 4, Red 20, and Yellow 22. Ants clear the purple background patches and begin eating the yellow floor section at the bottom right.
  4. Tap Dark Grey 28, Dark Grey 70, and Red 25 into free bays. Ants consume the cat body outlines and dark borders, lowering the top Plank 3 counter toward zero.
  5. Tap Purple 10, Red 20, and Orange 49 into empty bays. The ants strip the cat blanket and background reds, weakening the upper-left plank down to 1.
  6. Tap Cyan 10, Yellow 19, and Blue 19 as bays clear. The upper-left plank breaks entirely, allowing cyan and blue ants to eat the newly exposed pixels underneath.
  7. Tap Orange 38, Red 26, Blue 4, and Blue 7. The center Plank 10 shatters, exposing the remaining orange cushion pixels for the orange ants to devour.
  8. Send Hot Pink 20, Red 12, Cyan 4, Dark Grey 18, and White 22 to clear the remaining cat fur, dark upper-right structure, and final details to complete the level.

Moves that cost you the level

  • Tapping Orange 49 in the early game → orange pixels are completely buried beneath outer colors and center Plank 10, so the jar stalls and blocks a bay for several minutes.
  • Filling all five bays with inner cat body colors before clearing the outer frame → no pixels of those colors are exposed yet, causing an immediate deadlock.

Quick tips for Level 142

  • Prioritize breaking the top-left Plank 3 early by stripping neighboring blue and cyan pixels to unlock hidden sections.
  • Always match jars to currently exposed pixel perimeters rather than tapping tempting high-value jars stuck behind planks.
Board breakdown5 notes
Layout
The picture depicts a white cat resting on an orange cushion beneath wing-like shapes, with three numbered planks (3, 10, and 10) covering critical areas.
Goal
Clear all pixels from the cat mosaic by feeding jars into the five bays and smashing all three planks.
Opening
Start by tapping Cyan 24, Blue 36, and Dark Green 35 from the front row; their matching pixels line the outer border and clear immediately.
Trap
Orange jars are extremely tempting because of the large cushion, but center Plank 10 locks most orange pixels until mid-game.
Mechanic
Numbered planks shield pixels beneath them. Clearing perimeter pixels and directing ants toward plank boundaries reduces the plank counter until it breaks.

Level 142 questions

  • How do I break the planks on Level 142?

Clear the border colors surrounding each plank to let matching ants eat adjacent pixels, which counts down and destroys the plank.
