Colony Flow! Level 9 Walkthrough

normal Live 4 colours / pieces Checked September 20, 2026

Colony Flow! Level 9 features an avocado pixel-art picture wrapped in a white outer border with a brown heart seed in the centre. The winning strategy is to prioritize White ant boxes to peel away the outer border and uncover the Green rim, then use Green boxes to reach the Light Green flesh and Brown seed.

How to beat Colony Flow! Level 9 — full solution

  1. Tap Light Green 20 (front row, middle), White 22 (row 2, middle), Green 20 (row 3, middle), Light Green 25 (front row, right), and Brown 15 (row 2, right). All five slots are filled; White 22 immediately starts stripping the outer border while the other four boxes wait.
  2. Let White 22 clear outer white blocks until it empties slot 2. Tap White 24 (front row, middle) to send it into slot 2. It continues stripping the white border until it empties slot 2, exposing the avocado's outer Green rim.
  3. Tap Green 35 (front row, left) to fill slot 2. Green 35 and Green 20 in slot 3 deploy ants to strip the outer Green rim. Clearing the bottom green blocks uncovers the Brown heart seed, activating Brown 15 in slot 5.
  4. Allow Green 35 to finish and empty slot 2, followed by Green 20 and Brown 15 clearing their targets and leaving slots 3 and 5. Uncovering the avocado flesh activates Light Green 20 in slot 1 and Light Green 25 in slot 4, leaving three slots free.
  5. Tap White 24 (front row, middle) into slot 2. White ants clear the remaining white background pixels in the upper corners. Light Green 20 in slot 1 finishes and leaves, followed by White 24 emptying slot 2; only Light Green 25 remains in slot 4.
  6. Tap Green 20 (front row, left), Green 24 (front row, middle), and Green 30 (front row, right) into slots 1, 2, and 3. Light Green 25 leaves slot 4. Tap the revealed Light Green 7 into slot 4 to target exposed flesh.
  7. Green 20 and Green 24 finish stripping the upper Green rim and vacate slots 1 and 2, followed by Light Green 7 emptying slot 4. Green 30 finishes in slot 3; four slots are now completely free.
  8. Tap White 23 (front row, left), Brown 17 (front row, second from left), Green 20 (front row, middle), and Light Green 25 (front row, right) into slots 1, 2, 3, and 5. White 23 and Brown 17 finish, completely clearing the Brown seed.
  9. Tap the revealed White 25 (front row, left) and Green 21 (front row, right) into slots 1 and 2. Working with Green 20 and Light Green 25, the ants clear the final pixels on the board into the nest to complete the level.

Moves that cost you the level

  • Tapping Green 35 before White has stripped the border → Green blocks remain completely covered by White pixels, stalling the box in a slot and risking an immediate lockup.
  • Tapping Brown boxes during the opening before the lower green rim is stripped → Brown has no exposed blocks in the seed, leaving the box stranded in a slot.

Quick tips for Level 9

  • Keep track of perimeter layers; inner colours like Light Green flesh and Brown seed cannot be gathered until the outer White and Green layers are stripped away.
  • Avoid tapping extra mystery boxes when four slots are already occupied by idle colours.
Board breakdown5 notes
Layout
An avocado pixel picture with a heart-shaped brown seed, light green flesh, a dark green outer rim, and white border blocks, positioned above a single central nest hole and five holding slots. Below the slots sits a three-column stack of ant boxes, with hidden mystery boxes in the rows behind.
Goal
Clear all blocks from the avocado picture using ant boxes. There is no timer on this level.
Opening
Tap the front Light Green 20, the revealed White 22 behind it, the Green 20 behind that, the front Light Green 25, and the revealed Brown 15. This fills all five slots, but White 22 immediately starts stripping the exposed white perimeter.
Trap
Filling the slots without an active White box blocks the entire board, because Green, Light Green, and Brown are buried beneath the outer White border blocks.
Mechanic
Exposed blocks dictate ant activity; ants inside a box will only exit to gather blocks that touch the open edge of the remaining picture, leaving boxes for buried colours idle in their slots.

Level 9 questions

  • How do I avoid getting stuck at the start of Colony Flow! Level 9?

Make sure a White box is active in one of your slots. Green, Light Green, and Brown blocks are all enclosed behind the outer white border, so any other colour will sit idle until White clears the perimeter.

  • When does the Brown seed become accessible in Colony Flow! Level 9?

The Brown seed inside the avocado is covered by the Green rim at the bottom. Once your Green boxes clear the bottom rim blocks, Brown blocks become exposed and your Brown box will deploy.
