Colony Flow! Level 7 Walkthrough

easy Live 5 colours / pieces Checked September 20, 2026

Level 7 presents a pixel-art penguin surrounded by a beige background border. Clear the outer beige frame and black outlines early to expose the inner white belly, cyan hood, and hidden yellow feet. Maintain free slots so later detail boxes do not stall.

How to beat Colony Flow! Level 7 — full solution

  1. Release White 50 (front row, col 2) and Black 20 (front row, col 3). Black ants immediately strip the exposed bottom outline and clear quickly, leaving White 50 working and four slots open.
  2. Release Beige 29 (front row, col 1) and Beige 25 (front row, col 4). Beige ants start clearing the outer border, while Black 20 empties and leaves its slot free.
  3. Release Cyan 25 (row 2, col 3) into the open bay, then Beige 25 (row 2, col 2). All five slots are now occupied as Beige strips the frame and Cyan chips away at the outer hood edges.
  4. Release Beige 25 (row 2, col 1) and Beige 25 (row 2, col 4) as early Beige boxes finish. Beige ants completely dismantle the background border, fully exposing the outer penguin body and freeing up two slots.
  5. Release the Mystery box (row 3, col 1, reveals as Black 20), White 30 (row 3, col 4), and Black 20 (row 3, col 2). Black ants strip inner outlines and wing borders, while White ants chew through the body.
  6. Release the Mystery box (row 3, col 3, reveals as Black 20). Black ants clear the eye pixels and wing borders, rapidly depleting all Black boxes on the board and clearing White 50.
  7. Release the Mystery box (row 4, col 1, reveals as Black 20), Yellow 7 (row 4, col 2), and Cyan 25 (row 4, col 3). Yellow ants immediately consume the beak and leave, while Black ants peel away the top head border.
  8. Release White 20 (row 5, col 2), Cyan 25 (row 6, col 2), Black 17 (row 5, col 1), and Beige 25 (row 5, col 3). Black 17 and Beige 25 quickly exhaust their counts on the remaining trims, leaving primarily Cyan hood blocks.
  9. Release Cyan 25 (row 6, col 3), White 29 (row 6, col 1), Yellow 7 (row 6, col 2), and Cyan 25 (row 7, col 3). White and Cyan uncover the hidden feet, allowing Yellow 7 to consume them before the final Cyan ants carry away the hood to win.

Moves that cost you the level

  • Tapping Yellow 7 (row 6, col 2) before uncovering the feet → the beak is already gone, so Yellow 7 sits stuck in a slot until adjacent white and cyan blocks are stripped.
  • Filling all five slots with Cyan boxes early → Cyan cannot reach the interior white belly or yellow beak, causing a complete slot deadlock.

Quick tips for Level 7

  • Always deplete the background border colours first so the inner character pixels become exposed on all sides.
  • Keep at least one slot open when tapping a secondary colour like Yellow, ensuring its target pixels are actually reachable.
Board breakdown5 notes
Layout
The picture is a square canvas depicting a baby penguin with a cyan hood, white face and belly, black outline, and yellow beak and feet, framed by a beige background. Below the nest hole sits a five-slot bay and a four-column stack of ant boxes.
Goal
Remove every block from the penguin picture by deploying matching ant boxes from the stack without jamming all five slots.
Opening
Start with White 50 and Black 20. Black 20 has directly exposed bottom outlines and clears out in seconds, immediately returning a free slot.
Trap
Tapping the second Yellow 7 too early causes it to stall in a slot because the penguin's yellow feet are concealed under black and white blocks until near the end.
Mechanic
Mystery boxes marked with a question mark conceal their colour until they shift into an accessible front position or are tapped.

Level 7 questions

  • Why is Yellow 7 not collecting any blocks?

If the beak has already been collected, the remaining yellow blocks are the penguin feet, which remain covered by white and black pixels until late in the level.
