How to beat Colony Flow! Level 489 — full solution
- Tap the White 40 box (front row, far left), Light Blue 20 box (front row, third), and Light Blue 50 box (front row, far right). Their ants clear the exposed outer white border and light blue bubble clusters, leaving three slots occupied.
- Tap the Yellow 23 box (front row, second). It targets the exposed edges of the seahorse's yellow body and crest, utilizing the newly cleared outer space.
- Tap the Green 50 box and Red box as they reach the front row. Green ants consume the lower seaweed stalks while red ants dismantle the seahorse's spine and outer fin details.
- Tap the White 40 box (front row, left) and Light Blue 30 box (front row, third). They clear deeper white background layers and the light blue water surrounding the upper-right chest.
- Tap the Pink 1 box and the Yellow box from the front row. Yellow ants finish the remaining yellow body segments of the seahorse while pink clears its single target block.
- Tap the Brown box freed by uncovering the chest key, alongside the Red 32 box. Brown ants strip the 10-block treasure chest while red ants eliminate the remaining seahorse snout blocks.
- Tap the Green 32 box, White 20 box, and Light Blue 40 box from the front row. They strip the middle seaweed fronds and edge bubbles, opening up the bottom row.
- Tap the Green 25 box, Green 45 box, and White 2 box in the stack. Green ants remove the final seaweed patches on both sides while white ants take the last backdrop blocks to win.

Moves that cost you the level
- Tapping the Yellow 23 box before peeling the outer White 40 border -> Yellow ants cannot reach the seahorse's interior blocks, stalling the box in a slot.
- Opening the Red box while outer bubbles still block the seahorse -> Red fins remain covered, leaving the box stranded in a slot.
Quick tips for Level 489
- Strip the outer white frame and light blue water bubbles first to uncover the edges of the seahorse.
- Work down the seaweed stalks gradually alongside the seahorse body to prevent multiple high-count green boxes from piling up in the slots.
