How to beat Colony Flow! Level 288 — full solution
- Tap the Light Green 25 box in the front row. It enters the slot and begins peeling the outer Light Green border around the horns and crest.
- Tap the White 25 box in the front row next to it. Ants start dismantling the white horns along the outer edges.
- Send in the Green 35 and Green 25 boxes, followed by the White 35 box behind them. This clears out more of the outer foliage and horn tips, unlocking access to the yellow and blue key icons.
- Deploy the Hot Pink 40 box and the linked Hot Pink 28 and Green 44 pair. Ants chip away at the lower mouth and border areas, opening paths toward the center.
- Tap the Yellow 20 box and Orange 28 box as their respective areas in the forehead emblem become exposed. This completely collects the keys to unlock the padlocked boxes in the stack.
- Bring in the Dark Purple 30 box, Cyan 29 box, and Dark Purple 55 box to target the large central face and inner machinery.
- Tap the Red 20 box and Red 37 box to clear the exposed red tongue and mouth section. Continue clearing outer remaining green segments with the Light Green 40 box.
- Release the Dark Purple 35 box and remaining Black 1 box to consume the core dark structure of the bull's head, leaving only minimal final fragments to clean up.

Moves that cost you the level
- Tapping the Dark Purple 30 box or Red 20 box at the very start → their blocks form the innermost layers of the face and mouth, leaving the boxes stuck and clogging all five slots.
- Activating locked boxes before collecting the keys in the upper emblem → padlocks cannot be tapped until keys are freed by outer clearing.
Quick tips for Level 288
- Always focus on perimeter colours (Light Green, White) first to uncover embedded keys and inner colours.
- Keep at least one slot open when tapping linked boxes, as they occupy two slots simultaneously.
Board breakdown5 notes
- Layout
- The picture shows a robotic bull head framed by light green borders and white horns. Below the picture are two ant holes, five slots, and a tiered stack of numbered ant boxes.
- Goal
- Clear all 500 blocks of the pixel image by deploying ant boxes into the five slots without causing a deadlock.
- Opening
- Start by sending the front-row Light Green 25 and White 25 boxes into the slots. These strip the outer frame and horn edges safely.
- Trap
- The Dark Purple and Red boxes in the stack represent interior layers; sending them early traps them indefinitely in the slots.
- Mechanic
- Padlocked boxes in the lower rows require specific coloured keys embedded in the pixel art to be cleared by ants before unlocking.
