How to beat Colony Flow! Level 291 — full solution
- Tap the front-row Brown 44, Brown 39, and Brown 40 boxes in any order into slots. Their ants strip the exposed brown outer borders and clear the top and sides of the pixel frame.
- Send the revealed Beige 26 and Black 60 into the free slots, followed by the Red 5 box in the front row. They clear outer edge details on the left character's hat, head, and shirt.
- Send the Black 50 box and Dark Purple 35 box into slots. They carry away black outline blocks and dark shadow segments from both characters, opening up interior facial regions.
- Tap the linked Brown 25 + Blue 20 pair. They fill two slots and clean out the lower brown background and Mugman's blue shirt.
- Tap the Beige 8, Beige 11, and Red 8 boxes into open slots as they become available. They remove the remaining flesh-tone face blocks and red trousers on Cuphead.
- Tap the Blue 18 and Black 9 boxes into slots to clear the remaining blue pants and surrounding character outlines.
- Send the linked Purple 5 + Blue 30 pair into slots along with White 38 and White 40. They carry off the white eyes, gloves, and remaining inner facial highlights.
- Tap the White 30 box, Dark Purple 35 box, and linked Purple 34 + Orange 20 pair into the slots to finish clearing all residual blocks and win the level.

Moves that cost you the level
- Tapping the linked Brown 25 + Blue 20 pair while fewer than two slots are free → the tap fails or locks remaining capacity.
- Tapping the White 38 box before black outline blocks are cleared → white facial blocks remain shielded and the box stalls in a slot.
Quick tips for Level 291
- Deplete the surrounding Brown boxes first to maximise the exposed surface area of Cuphead and Mugman.
- Reserve at least two empty slots before tapping any linked ant boxes.
Board breakdown5 notes
- Layout
- The picture depicts Cuphead and Mugman side by side against a brown rectangular canvas. Five ant slots sit below the nest hole, above a multi-tiered stack of ant boxes.
- Goal
- Clear all coloured blocks from the portrait using the ant boxes in the stack without running out of slot space.
- Opening
- Begin by tapping the three Brown boxes (44, 39, 40) in the front row. They immediately attack the outer brown background, clearing slots as they finish.
- Trap
- Tapping high-value White boxes before the black outlines around the characters' faces are broken causes them to idle in slots.
- Mechanic
- Linked boxes must be deployed together and require two unoccupied slots to enter play.
Level 291 questions
-
What should I tap first on Level 291?
