Food Hunt: Pixel Puzzle level guide
Food Hunt: Pixel Puzzle Level 9 Walkthrough
Level 9 features a pixel turtle composed of five colours: Dark Grey, Light Green, Green, Dark Green, and White. Strip the outer Dark Grey outline and Light Green feet first to expose the inner shell sections. Avoid loading White jars early, as White pixels are buried inside the shell and stall in the bays.
How to beat Food Hunt: Pixel Puzzle Level 9 — full solution
- Tap the front-row Light Green 20, the two Dark Green 20 jars, and the revealed White 9 and Dark Grey 10 jars into the bays in any order. The Dark Grey ants begin stripping the lower outline while Light Green ants eat the turtle's exposed feet, leaving all five bays occupied.
- As Dark Grey 10 clears, tap the revealed White 4, Light Green 20, and Green 6 jars in any order. Light Green and Dark Grey ants strip away the turtle's lower legs and outline; White 9 and Dark Green 19 remain stalled while Bay 4 counts Light Green down to 1.
- As Light Green 1 and White 4 clear, tap the revealed Light Green 40, Dark Grey 10, and Green 60 jars in any order. Dark Grey ants eat the chest and chin outline while Green ants consume the lower shell edge, keeping all five bays filled.
- As Dark Grey 10 and Light Green 16 clear, tap the revealed White 2, Light Green 12, and Light Green 41 jars in any order. Ants strip the turtle's head, belly, and tail, leaving only the shell and exposing internal shell tiles; Green counts down to 46.
- As Green 46 and White 2 finish, tap the revealed Dark Grey 19, Dark Green 20, and Light Green 20 jars in any order. Ants eat the remaining upper outline and head pixels, finally exposing the White shell highlights so the stalled White 8 begins counting down.
- As Dark Grey 19 and Light Green 41 clear, tap the revealed Dark Green 26 jar. Dark Green ants eat the darker shell ridges while Light Green and White ants strip away the shell body, leaving four active bays and one bay free.
- As Dark Green 5, Dark Green 18, and Light Green 13 clear, tap the final Light Green 20 jar from the grid. White ants reduce White to 4 while Light Green ants attack the remaining center shell pixels, leaving only two bays in use.
- Allow the active White 4 and Light Green 20 jars to finish eating the final shell pixels. The remaining turtle tiles clear completely, freeing both bays and winning the level.

Moves that cost you the level
- Tapping White 9 on the opening board → White shell highlights are completely enclosed, causing the jar to stall in a bay for most of the level.
- Filling all five bays with shell colours before clearing the Dark Grey outline → ants cannot reach the shell, causing an instant lockup.
Quick tips for Level 9
- Clear the dark outline and exterior limbs first to maximize the exposed surface area of the inner shell.
- Keep at least one bay open whenever possible by holding back jars whose colours are completely enclosed.
Board breakdown5 notes
- Layout
- The picture is a pixel turtle with a Dark Grey outline, Light Green head and limbs, Green and Dark Green shell plates, and White highlights. Five holding bays sit above a cascading jar grid.
- Goal
- Clear all pixels of the turtle picture by deploying matching coloured jars into the bays.
- Opening
- Tap the front Light Green and Dark Grey jars first to strip the lower outline and feet. This exposes the outer green layers of the shell without stalling your bays.
- Trap
- Tapping White jars early stalls them in the bays for most of the level, because White pixels are isolated highlights buried inside the shell plates that cannot be reached until the shell is partially cleared.
- Mechanic
- Ants only consume exposed edge pixels of matching colours. If a jar's colour is completely covered by outer layers, that jar stalls in its bay and takes up space until its colour is uncovered.
Level 9 questions
-
What should I tap first on Level 9?
Start with Light Green and Dark Grey jars to eat away the turtle's feet and bottom outline. This exposes the lower shell edges so green jars can work without stalling.
-
Why is my White jar not moving on Level 9?
White pixels are interior highlights located inside the turtle's shell plates. They remain inaccessible until the surrounding Green and Dark Green tiles are cleared from the outside.
