How to beat Food Hunt: Pixel Puzzle Level 8 — full solution
- Tap the Black 40 jar in row 1, left column, followed by the White 30 jar in row 1, middle column, and the Black 40 jar in row 1, right column. Black and white ants swarm the toucan's outer outline and chest.
- Tap the Black 30 jar (row 1, right), Black 20 jar (row 1, centre-right), and White 22 jar (row 1, centre). These strip away the lower body edge and tail pixels, opening space for inner chest layers.
- Tap the Black 18 jar (row 1, centre-left), White 26 jar (row 1, left), and White 13 jar (row 1, centre-right). White and black body lines dissolve, uncovering the toucan's eye and beak boundaries.
- Tap the Red 10 jar (row 2, left) and Orange 15 jar (row 2, centre). Red and orange ants begin carving the outer curve of the beak while Black 27 in row 1 finishes eating tail feathers.
- Tap the Red 20 jar (row 2, right) and Black 8 jar (row 1, centre). Red continues chewing the base of the beak as the remaining back feathers clear.
- Tap the Orange 8 jar (row 1, right), Orange 20 jar (row 2, left), and Black 3 jar (row 1, centre). Orange ants strip the lower beak layer and black ants eat the remaining pupil and foot pixels.
- Tap the Red 13 jar (row 1, left), White 24 jar (row 1, centre), and Black 1 jar (row 1, centre-right). White completes the head section and Red clears the beak stripes.
- Tap the Yellow 9 jar (row 1, left), Yellow 19 jar (row 1, centre-left), and Yellow 20 jar (row 2, centre). Yellow ants eat the exposed top strip and tip of the beak.
- Tap the White 11 jar (row 1, centre) and Black 9 jar (row 1, centre-right) to finish the last traces around the eye and wing, leaving only tiny beak fragments.
- Tap the White 2 jar, Black 2 jar, and Yellow 5 jar in the front row. The ants consume the final remaining pixels to clear the board.

Moves that cost you the level
- Tapping the Red 10 jar or Orange 15 jar on the first move → the entire beak is walled off by Black outline pixels, stalling the jar in a bay until the outline is eaten.
- Filling all five bays with inner beak colours before Black finishes → no free bays remain to bring in Black jars, resulting in a game over.
Quick tips for Level 8
- Always target Black jars first since Black outlines surround almost the entire toucan illustration.
- Work inward from Black to White, then Red, Orange, and finally Yellow to match the exposed surface of the beak.
Board breakdown5 notes
- Layout
- A toucan pixel-art portrait sits on the board above five empty bays, with a jar grid below holding multi-layered rows of Black, White, Red, Orange, and Yellow jars.
- Goal
- Clear every pixel of the toucan picture by dispatching jars whose colours match the outer exposed pixels.
- Opening
- Start by sending the front-row Black 40, White 30, and Black 40 jars into the bays to immediately strip the toucan's outer borders.
- Trap
- The Yellow jars are buried behind Red and Orange on the beak; sending Yellow jars early stalls them until the beak's outer layers are chewed away.
- Mechanic
- Ants can only consume pixels that are directly exposed on the exterior of the remaining picture shape.
Level 8 questions
-
What should I tap first on Level 8?
Tap the Black 40 and White 30 jars in the front row. Black pixels outline the bird, so Black jars clear the way for all other colours.
