normal Live 9 colours / pieces Checked September 21, 2026

Clear the ice floe and mammoth pixel art by matching edge colours to jars. Strip the outer cyan and blue ice first before committing jars to the mammoth body. Avoid filling bays with top-layer orange jars before their pixels are uncovered.

How to beat Food Hunt: Pixel Puzzle Level 83 — full solution

  1. Tap Cyan 37 (front row, left), Blue 34 (front row, centre), and White 27 (front row, right). Their ants eat the bottom ice shelf and the tusk tip, leaving two bays open and uncovering the second row.
  2. Tap Brown 27, White 4, Yellow 6, Brown 9, and Black 13 in any order as they surface. They eat along the outer mammoth outline and lower belly, freeing bays as each completes.
  3. Tap Blue 44, White 20, and Brown 26 from the revealed front row, then add Brown 17 and Brown 20. The ants clear the middle ice layer and outer flank, opening more interior brown pixels.
  4. Tap White 1, Brown 61, Blue 16, and Cyan 18 from the active row. The ants strip the remaining ice chunks at the water line and hollow out the mammoth legs, leaving one bay free.
  5. Tap Blue 8, Brown 9, Brown 20, Orange 29, and White 2. Ants clear the last blue water tiles and start biting into the upper back fur, creating direct access to the mammoth core.
  6. Tap Orange 49, Brown 10, Black 18, and Black 12. This is the tightest bay-pressure phase; the dark jars quickly strip the eyes, facial outline, and trunk borders, freeing two bays.
  7. Tap Orange 28, White 4, Cyan 7, Dark Grey 10, and Black 4. The ants remove the remaining trunk segments and lower fur line, reducing the picture count below 100 pixels.
  8. Tap White 18, Cyan 31, Black 3, Black 2, White 20, and Blue 25 as they emerge. Ants remove the final fragments of tusk and stray perimeter pixels, leaving only the top fur tuft.
  9. Tap Orange 51, Brown 38, and Orange 2 from the bottom of the feed. The ants finish the top orange crest and clear the board to complete the level.

Moves that cost you the level

  • Tapping Orange 49 or Orange 51 while the blue ice base is still being cleared → orange pixels sit high on the crest and cannot be reached yet, causing the jar to stall and clog a bay.

Quick tips for Level 83

  • Work from the bottom ice upward: blue and cyan pixels must vanish before the mammoth legs and lower body can be targeted.
  • Keep at least one bay open when handling large-count brown jars so smaller contour jars can cycle through without jamming.
Board breakdown5 notes
Layout
A pixel-art mammoth standing on ice floes occupies the upper board, with five bays below the ant hole and a jar grid feeding from the bottom.
Goal
Clear 1000 total pixels spanning water, ice, mammoth body, tusks, and fur using jars of matching colours.
Opening
Tap the three front-row jars (Cyan 37, Blue 34, White 27) to clear the exposed ice and tusk tips at the bottom without stalling.
Trap
Orange jars appear in the queue while the lower picture is still active; tapping them early locks bays because orange pixels sit on the uppermost ridge.
Mechanic
Jars count down one unit per pixel eaten by their ants and depart immediately when hitting zero, recycling their bay.

Level 83 questions

  • What should I tap first on Level 83?
