How to beat Food Hunt: Pixel Puzzle Level 86 — full solution
- Start with the five jars preloaded into the bays: Brown 30, White 33, Beige 36, Dark Grey 16, and Dark Grey 21. The Dark Grey ants immediately start eating the angel's outer outline while White attacks the wing tips.
- Let Dark Grey 16 and 21 exhaust their counts to allow Dark Grey 34 and Beige 10 to advance from the pipes, joining White 5, Beige 53, and Orange 9. The outer dark border strips away, opening up the white wings and beige body.
- Advance Yellow 35 into bay 5 as Dark Grey counts down to 20, White to 2, Beige to 7, and Orange to 4. Ants strip the wings and torso down to the core layers, exposing the lower edge of the yellow hair.
- Cycle the emptied bays by admitting White 9 and Beige 26 alongside Dark Grey 13 and Orange 3. Ants chew away the remaining wing feathers and the lower body, leaving bay 5 temporarily open.
- Draw Dark Grey 4, White 7, Beige 14, Orange 24, and Orange 11 into the five bays. This clears the final wing pixels and strips the angel's sash and face perimeter.
- Feed Beige 40 into bay 5 while Dark Grey 3, White 2, Beige 4, and Orange 17 finish off the facial contours and sash details, leaving almost exclusively the head and yellow hair.
- Release the remaining jars from the cleared pipes: Dark Grey 9, Pink 1, Yellow 14, Orange 12, and Beige 15. The pipes are now completely empty, and ants begin clearing the thick yellow hair and halo.
- Let Yellow 14, Orange 12, Beige 15, Pink 1, and Dark Grey 9 finish eating the last remaining hair and halo pixels. All bays clear out as the final ants return through the hole.

Moves that cost you the level
- Letting Yellow 35 enter a bay too early → yellow hair pixels are entirely shielded by the dark grey outline and beige forehead, stalling the jar.
- Filling bays with Orange jars while wings still cover the sash → Orange ants have no exposed pixels to target, locking a bay unnecessarily.
Quick tips for Level 86
- Watch the queue inside each pipe; prepare a bay for the front jar's colour before letting it move up.
- Focus on clearing the dark grey outline first, as it gates access to nearly every inner colour on the board.
Board breakdown5 notes
- Layout
- The picture depicts a pixel-art angel with yellow hair, white wings, a beige body, and orange accents. Five bays sit directly below the ant hole, fed from vertical pipes below.
- Goal
- Clear all pixels of the angel portrait by emptying jars from both the starting bays and the feeding pipes.
- Opening
- The level opens with Brown 30, White 33, Beige 36, Dark Grey 16, and Dark Grey 21 pre-placed in the five bays. Dark Grey and White immediately begin peeling the exterior pixels.
- Trap
- Drawing Yellow or Pink jars upward before the outer Dark Grey outline and White wings are removed will stall bays with unexposed colours.
- Mechanic
- Pipes hold vertical queues of jars below the rack that automatically feed upward into freed bays.
Level 86 questions
-
How do pipes work in Level 86?
Pipes store reserve jars beneath the bays. Whenever a bay completely empties its count, the front jar in that pipe moves upward into the open slot.
