How to beat Food Hunt: Pixel Puzzle Level 456 — full solution

  1. Phase 1: Tap Dark Green 56 (row 1, column 2), Purple 50 (row 1, column 4), Cyan 30 (row 1, column 3), Yellow 40 (row 3, column 4), and Dark Grey 50 (row 2, column 3). Dark Green 56 finishes stripping the suit body, leaving Purple, Dark Grey, Yellow, and Cyan actively clearing the outer frame and glass base with one bay open.
  2. Phase 2: Tap White 5 (row 2, column 2) and Grey 10 (row 3, column 1) as bays open up, then deploy Red 20 and Orange 23 from the newly uncovered positions. The cocktail glass rim and suit lapel trim begin clearing, leaving bays occupied by Grey, Cyan, Red, and Orange.
  3. Phase 3: Deploy White 21 (row 1, column 1), White 20 (row 1, column 4), and Dark Grey 50 (row 1, column 3) to eat the white shirt collar and jacket trim. Cyan and Orange finish, leaving White and Dark Grey whittling away the torso borders.
  4. Phase 4: Tap Pink 17 (row 2, column 4), Light Blue 18 (row 2, column 3), and Brown 13 (row 2, column 2). Light Blue strips the cocktail drink while Pink and Brown bite into the mouth and hair, opening up the central face area.
  5. Phase 5: Send in Beige 25 (row 3, column 2) and Orange 40 (row 2, column 1) along with the second Purple 50 (row 3, column 3). The remaining purple background corners clear completely, exposing the upper hair and outer cheeks.
  6. Phase 6: Tap the remaining Dark Grey and Black-adjacent jars from row 1, followed by Pink 26 (row 2, column 1) to strip the remaining cocktail liquid, bow tie, and mouth details. The suit and cocktail glass fully vanish, leaving only the head.
  7. Phase 7: Deploy Red 25 (row 2, column 2) and Beige 50 (row 2, column 3) to chew away the skin and mouth. Brown 47 and Grey jars clear the hair outline, reducing the board down to facial pixels and eyebrows.
  8. Phase 8: Tap the final Yellow 22, Beige 25, Brown 38, and Red jars to eat the remaining hair strands, teeth, and skin tones. All remaining pixels are consumed and the level is complete.

Moves that cost you the level

  • Tapping Beige 25 or Brown 13 too early → both skin and hair are heavily walled off behind the outer purple background and white shirt, causing the jars to stall in bays.
  • Filling all five bays with high-capacity jars (such as Dark Grey 50, Purple 50, and Yellow 40 together) before small trim colours clear → creates a gridlock where newly exposed trim colors cannot be assigned a bay.

Quick tips for Level 456

  • Prioritize the outer framing colours (Purple, Yellow, Dark Green) to give the ants an unobstructed path into the interior portrait.
  • Keep at least one bay empty or reserved for small-count jars (like White 5 or Grey 10) so you never get jammed when switching layers.
Board breakdown5 notes
Layout
The picture depicts a man in a tuxedo holding a cocktail glass, framed by purple corners and yellow sparkle stars. Jars are arranged in a 4-column grid below the bays.
Goal
Completely remove all pixels of the portrait and background by clearing matching jars.
Opening
Open by deploying Dark Green 56, Purple 50, and Cyan 30 to immediately target the large exposed outer areas.
Trap
Beige and Brown skin tones are locked inside the centre of the image; calling Beige jars early stalls them until the surrounding suit, glass, and background are stripped.
Mechanic
Standard layer-stripping mechanics: ants only eat matching pixels that have an exposed perimeter edge.
