How to beat Food Hunt: Pixel Puzzle Level 398 — full solution

  1. Tap the front Dark Grey 50, Dark Grey 30, and Dark Grey 40 jars from the grid. As bays open, deploy Cyan 4, Purple 14, Dark Grey 28, Lilac 17, and Purple 13 in any order. Ants strip the outer dark feathers, purple neck band, and cyan wing highlights.
  2. Deploy incoming Dark Grey 22, Green 5, and White 14 as the first Cyan and Purple jars empty. The ants clear the edge of the bird's tail, cap trim, and the upper border around the chest plank, keeping two bays active.
  3. Send Cyan 32 and Lilac 20 into the newly freed bays. Ants eat away deeper neck and wing plumage, reducing the Dark Grey outline and damaging the chest plank count down from 3 to 2.
  4. Tap Dark Grey 26, Green 11, and White 14 as bays clear. Ants strip the lower tail feathers, belly line, and cap edges, exposing the yellow eye pixels and orange-red beak area.
  5. Tap Yellow 20, Cyan 3, Green 4, and Lilac 2 into open bays. The ants consume the beak base, eye details, and the remaining wing feathers, dropping the chest plank counter down to 1.
  6. Deploy Red 7, White 13, and Dark Grey 44 as slots free up. The ants clear out the beak and the remaining White feathers surrounding the chest plank, exposing the underlying body pixels.
  7. Tap Pink 19, Yellow 9, Cyan 10, and Dark Grey 40. The ants break the chest plank completely, devouring the chest feathers, feet, and remaining beak accents.
  8. Send the remaining Dark Grey jars into the open bays, finishing with Dark Grey 1. The ants eat the final beret pixels at the top to complete the board.

Moves that cost you the level

  • Tapping Yellow 20 while the head outline is still completely covered → the yellow eye pixels cannot be reached, leaving the yellow jar stalled in a bay.
  • Filling all five bays before exposing the chest → the White and Pink pixels behind the plank remain unreachable, causing a bay jam.

Quick tips for Level 398

  • Focus on large Dark Grey jars first because they remove the bulk of the outline and unlock access to the bird's inner features.
  • Keep at least one bay rotating quickly by prioritizing small-count jars like Cyan 4 and Lilac 2.
Board breakdown5 notes
Layout
A pixel art pigeon facing left wearing a dark beret, with a numbered wooden plank over its chest. A row of three jars sits below the five empty bays, with new jars queued underneath.
Goal
Break the chest plank and eat all pixels of the bird picture using matching colored jars.
Opening
Tap the front Dark Grey jars to begin stripping the outer plumage and expose the neck and wing edges.
Trap
Tapping inner accent jars such as Yellow 20 or Pink 19 too early traps them in bays while their pixels remain buried under dark plumage.
Mechanic
The wooden plank requires surrounding pixels to be cleared and hits to be landed to reduce its counter to zero before hidden chest pixels are exposed.

Level 398 questions

  • How do I break the chest plank on Level 398?

Clear the surrounding dark plumage and white border feathers. Continuing to strip adjacent body pixels drops the plank count to zero.
