normal Live 9 colours / pieces Checked September 21, 2026

Level 103 introduces the Cave mechanic and features a garden gnome surrounded by grass and flowers. Clear the outer green lawn systematically before opening inner beard, hat, and clothing layers. Tapping buried Blue or Black jars too early stalls your bays.

How to beat Food Hunt: Pixel Puzzle Level 103 — full solution

  1. With Cyan 5, Cyan 20, White 13, Green 36, and Green 37 already active in the bays, let the green ants strip the outer grass perimeter. As these initial jars count down, they clear space for more green jars to tackle the lawn.
  2. Fill the bays with Green 30, Green 25, Green 24, Green 1, and Green 2. These jars completely strip the outer green grass surrounding the gnome and uncover the green Cave counter at the top left.
  3. Tap the exposed Red 10 and Red 5 jars into the bays as the green jars finish. The red ants begin eating the top and brim of the gnome's hat, leaving three bays open for incoming jars.
  4. Tap White 6, White 9, Red 24, and Yellow 7 into the bays. Yellow ants consume the flower centers, red ants continue stripping the red hat, and white ants start removing the outer edge of the beard.
  5. Deploy White 5, White 7, Blue 21, White 6, and Yellow 2 into the five bays. This clears the remaining flower pixels, chews deeply into the gnome's white beard, and begins eating the blue jacket.
  6. Send Green 14, Blue 6, and Cyan 4 into the free bays. The ants strip the inner foliage framing the gnome and continue clearing the blue trousers and jacket, leaving two bays free.
  7. Deploy Green 19, White 9, Cyan 1, White 5, and White 16 into the bays. These jars eat the remaining background leaves and the bulk of the white beard, exposing White 20 below.
  8. Tap Red 6, Black 3, Black 3, and White 1 into the bays. The ants finish off the hat tip, the black belt and boots, and the final beard pixels to clear the board.

Moves that cost you the level

  • Tapping Blue 40 or Black 20 while the outer grass is still intact → Blue and Black pixels are buried in the center, causing the jars to stall in bays and block progress.
  • Ignoring the green Cave pixels at top left → failing to feed enough green jars delays uncovering the inner layers of the gnome.

Quick tips for Level 103

  • Always match your active jars to the outermost exposed pixel layer, starting with Green for the grass lawn.
  • Keep at least one bay open when transitioning between major colours like Green, Red, and White.
