How to beat Colony Flow! Level 87 — full solution

  1. Tap White 30 (front row, column 2) into slot 1, then tap Cyan 36 (row 2, column 2) into slot 2. Cyan ants clear the top section of the cyan background while White 30 waits for face blocks to become exposed.
  2. Tap White 28 (front row, column 1) into slot 3, Cyan 35 (row 2, column 1) into slot 4, and Red 35 (row 3, column 1) into slot 5. When Cyan 36 empties slot 2, tap the anchored Black 25 (front row, column 3) to snap its bands. Cyan 35 finishes, freeing slot 4.
  3. Tap Cyan 35 (row 2, column 3) into slot 4. Cyan ants strip the remaining outer background blocks, exposing the edges of the crown, cape, and sceptre. Cyan 35 finishes and leaves slot 4 open.
  4. Tap Yellow 30 (front row, rightmost) into slot 4. Ants from Black 25, Red 35, and Yellow 30 work simultaneously on the crown and borders. Black 25 empties first, breaching the outer border and finally exposing the White face blocks.
  5. Both White 30 and White 28 begin stripping the face. Tap Black 30 (front row, column 1) into slot 2 to continue perimeter removal. Yellow 30 and Red 35 finish, opening slots 4 and 5.
  6. Tap Brown 28 (front row, column 3) into slot 4. Brown ants clear the pedestal blocks around the bottom locks. Brown 28 and the active White boxes rapidly count down.
  7. Tap Black 20, Cyan 20, and Red 1 into the free slots to clear the inner crown jewels, eyes, and remaining cape trim. As boxes empty, tap Cyan 35 into slot 5 to finish the inner crown cyan blocks.
  8. Tap the emerging Brown, Yellow, and Black boxes to clear the lower pedestal and unlock the 50 and 70 padlocks. The locks burst as their counters reach zero, exposing the sceptre and paws.
  9. Tap the final sequence of White, Cyan, Yellow, and Brown boxes into the free slots to carry away the remaining sceptre, cape fragments, and paws, clearing the board to complete the level.

Moves that cost you the level

  • Tapping Yellow 30 before clearing the surrounding Cyan background → Yellow has no exposed blocks on the crown edges and stalls in a slot until cyan is cleared.
  • Loading both White boxes into slots while the black facial outline is intact → White blocks remain completely sealed inside, locking two slots until black outline blocks are cleared.

Quick tips for Level 87

  • Clear the outer cyan background thoroughly before committing multiple face and crown boxes to slots.
  • Release the anchored Black 25 early so the pinned rows beneath become accessible.
  • Keep at least one slot open as a buffer while waiting for long countdown boxes to finish.
Board breakdown5 notes
Layout
A pixel-art portrait of a crowned dog holding a sceptre against a cyan backdrop, flanked by two numbered lock gates (50 and 70) at the bottom pedestal, with a five-slot bay above a multi-row stack anchored by rubber bands.
Goal
Clear all blocks from the pixel picture by feeding 5 active slots from the stack; no timer is present.
Opening
Tap White 30 and Cyan 36; Cyan immediately works on the exposed top background, giving you room to unblock lower rows.
Trap
Filling all five slots with White, Red, or Yellow boxes before clearing the surrounding Cyan background leaves them stalled with no exposed blocks.
Mechanic
Anchored boxes hold rubber bands that pin down underlying cubes; tapping the anchor box releases the tension and unlocks the rows beneath. Numbered gates require clearing a set quota of adjacent blocks to open.

Level 87 questions

  • How do I remove the rubber bands in Level 87?

Tap the anchor box holding the band pins (Black 25 in the front row) once its column is cleared to snap the cords and unlock the lower cubes.

  • Why are my White boxes not counting down?

White blocks form the dog's face and paws, which are completely surrounded by black outlines and cyan background; they only start countdowns once Black outline blocks are removed.
