Level 38 features a pixel-art portrait of Darwin from Gumball with a 2-minute timer. Send Orange, Blue, and Grey boxes to dismantle the outer border and legs before exposing internal facial details. Keep free slots by balancing box capacity with exposed block counts.

How to beat Colony Flow! Level 38 — full solution
- Tap the Orange 36 box, the Orange 32 box, the Grey 20 box, and the Blue 35 box from the front row. They occupy four slots and harvest exposed blocks from the lower corners, legs, and outer edge.
- Tap the Blue 30 box, the Orange 30 box, the Blue 28 box, and the Orange 24 box as slots open. These clear the lower perimeter and legs, opening up White and Black sections around Darwin's face.
- Tap the Grey 20 box, the Orange 30 box, the Orange 30 box, and the Blue 30 box. They strip away the remaining lower frame and start harvesting the cheeks and chin.
- Tap the White 20 box and the Orange 26 box. The White box clears the exposed teeth and eye highlights while the Orange box continues carving into the face.
- Tap the Blue 28 box, the Blue 28 box, the Orange 30 box, and the White 20 box. Blue ants clear the sides of the background while White ants clear the inner eye regions.
- Tap the Hot Pink 5 box, the Black 32 box, the Orange 30 box, and the Blue 26 box. Hot Pink ants clear Darwin's blushing cheek and mouth interior while Black ants clear the eyes and outlines.
- Tap the Blue 32 box, the Orange 30 box, the White 20 box, and the Orange 30 box. This strips the remaining top edge of the background and uncovers Darwin's upper head.
- Tap the Black 30 box, the White 22 box, the Blue 20 box, and the Black 26 box. Black and White ants finish the inner facial features while Blue ants clean the upper background corners.
- Tap the Orange 30 box, the Blue 30 box, the Orange 33 box, and the Blue 24 box. These clear the rest of the upper background and Darwin's forehead.
- Tap the Orange 30 box, the Black 30 box, the Orange 23 box, and the final Orange 30 box. All ants carry away the remaining outline blocks and empty the canvas completely.

Moves that cost you the level
- Tapping the Hot Pink 5 box at the very start → Hot Pink blocks are buried deep inside Darwin's mouth and cheeks, permanently jamming a slot until the entire face is excavated.
- Filling all five slots with Orange boxes early → the outer frame has abundant Blue blocks, so lack of Blue ants halts progression and locks your buffer.

- Clear background Blue and lower Grey legs first to expose large swathes of Darwin's Orange face.
- Watch the countdown timer at the top right; maintain steady taps so slots are never sitting idle.
