How to beat Colony Flow! Level 299 — full solution

  1. Tap the White 42 box and White 39 box from the front row. Their ants strip the outermost white snow border, exposing the purple base blocks below while keeping three slots empty.
  2. Tap the Purple 35 box (row 2, left), the White 50 box (row 2, middle), and the Brown 25 box (row 2, right). The ants remove the bottom purple floor and exposed outer brown outlines, filling all five slots temporarily as earlier boxes finish.
  3. Tap the Purple 35 box (row 2, far right) along with the newly revealed Pink 29 box and Brown 30 box. The ants take down the pink sparkles along the sides and lower boots, clearing two slots as the first white boxes deplete.
  4. Tap the Pink 28 box and Brown 55 box into open slots. They clear remaining pink accents and the lower character outlines, exposing the cyan key embedded in the mosaic.
  5. With the cyan key collected, the locked Orange 50 box unlocks. Tap the Red 20 box and Orange 50 box into free slots to clear the red hood trim and outer orange jacket.
  6. Tap the Dark Purple 49 box and the Blue box freed by the pink key. Their ants carry away the dark purple outline around the hood and the blue boots, leaving three active slots.
  7. Tap the Light Blue 45 box and Light Blue 40 box into the vacated slots. The ants clear the light blue visor highlights and inner suit accents, leaving only background filler.
  8. Tap the remaining linked White boxes to clear the final white background patches. The ants carry away the last blocks until the board is completely cleared.

Moves that cost you the level

  • Tapping the Orange 50 box before clearing the outer brown and red borders → the orange parka is completely enclosed, so the box sits frozen in a slot and exhausts your slot buffer.
  • Opening the Light Blue 45 box while the outer white frame is still intact → light blue accents are buried inside the character, jamming a slot.

Quick tips for Level 299

  • Always prioritize removing the outer white border boxes first to uncover the embedded colored pixels beneath.
  • Track the cyan and pink padlock keys in the picture so you know when locked boxes in the stack will become accessible.
  • Keep at least two slots free whenever working near linked boxes, which deploy together and require dual capacity.
Board breakdown5 notes
Layout
The board displays a pixel art character in an orange hooded parka standing on a purple and white base, surrounded by white snow and pink accents. Below the board are two nest holes, five slots, and a tiered stack of ant boxes extending downwards.
Goal
Clear all coloured blocks from the character mosaic across 5 slots without allowing all slots to become blocked.
Opening
Start with the front White 42 and White 39 boxes to peel the exposed white snow edges, followed by Purple and Brown boxes to strip the base.
Trap
Tapping high-count inner-layer boxes like Orange 50 or Light Blue 45 before stripping the outer white and brown layers stalls the slot with no exposed blocks to carry.
Mechanic
Padlocks lock certain boxes in the stack; clearing the surrounding blocks in the picture releases the matching coloured keys (Cyan and Pink) to unlock them.
