Level 297 features a pixel portrait of a fox face overlaid with three heavy chests. How to beat Colony Flow! Level 297 — full solution
- Tap Black 36 (row 1, column 1), White 50 (row 1, column 2), White 50 (row 1, column 4), and Black 20 (row 2, column 1) in any order. Their ants remove the upper white background and strip the dark outer frame, opening access to the inner layers.
- Tap Brown 35 (row 2, column 2), Purple 6 (row 1, column 3), and Beige 40 (row 3, column 1). Brown ants attack the left 90-block chest down toward 74 while Purple 6 parks temporarily in slot 3 awaiting exposed purple pixels.
- Tap Orange 54 (row 1, column 2) and Orange 52 (row 1, column 3). The orange ants strip Nick's facial fur, uncovering and collecting the yellow key embedded in his face, which unlocks the padlocked box in column 1 to reveal White 40.
- Tap Green 60 and linked Green 44 (column 4) together, followed by White 40 (row 1, column 1) and Black 60 (row 1, column 4). Green ants relentlessly chip down the massive 600-block chest in the center while Black and White clear remaining boundary blocks.
- Allow Purple 6 in slot 3 to finish collecting the newly exposed dark purple tie and nose pixels. Tap Grey 37 (row 1, column 2) and Green 28 (row 2, column 2) to eliminate the remainder of the center green chest completely.
- Tap Orange 40 (row 1, column 2) to clear the remaining orange forehead fur, then tap Green 5 to break open and finish the right 15-block chest. Tap Beige 55 (row 1, column 3) to harvest the muzzle highlights.
- Tap Purple 40 (row 3, column 2) and Purple 35 (row 2, column 4) to clean up the dark tie and facial outlines, then tap Brown 35 (row 1, column 3) to clear the last 25 blocks from the left chest.
- Tap the remaining White 50 and White 40 boxes in columns 1 and 2 in any order. The final white ants clear the last background blocks at the top corners to complete the board.

Moves that cost you the level
- Tapping Purple 6 on the opening move → purple blocks on Nick's tie and nose are buried beneath the green shirt and orange fur, leaving Purple 6 stranded in a slot for half the level.
- Flooding the slots with Orange boxes before uncovering the yellow key → slots get jammed while the padlocked box in column 1 remains inaccessible.
Quick tips for Level 297
- Prioritize clearing the white and black borders early to expand the exposed surface area of Nick's orange face.
- Focus green boxes on the large 600-block chest in the center so the purple tie beneath it can be reached.
Board breakdown5 notes
- Layout
- Five slots sit in the center with a four-column stack below containing linked and padlocked boxes. The top picture depicts a fox face flanked by a Brown 90 chest, a Green 600 chest, and a Green 15 chest.
- Goal
- Clear all coloured pixels from the fox portrait and deplete all three counter chests by deploying matching ant boxes.
- Opening
- Tap the front-row Black and White boxes to dismantle the outer border tiles and create enough exposed edge for the inner colours to work.
- Trap
- Purple 6 appears in the front row right away, but its target blocks are buried beneath the green chest and orange fur, causing it to idle in a slot if tapped carelessly.
- Mechanic
- Chest blocks serve as large hit-point obstacles of their colour that must be reduced to zero by ants before blocks underneath them can be picked up.
Level 297 questions
-
What should I tap first on Level 297?
Start with Black 36 and the two White 50 boxes in the front row to strip the outer frame and expose the inner face layers.
-
Why is Purple 6 stuck in my slot on Level 297?
Nick's purple tie and facial details are buried under the green shirt and orange fur, so purple ants cannot work until the center is cleared.
