How to beat Colony Flow! Level 223 — full solution

  1. Deploy Cyan 15 from the front-middle stack and White 20 from the front-right stack. They strip the outer snow edges and light snowy tree highlights, clearing space along the bottom frame.
  2. Tap Purple 20 from the front-left stack and Purple 20 from the second row. They attack the upper and outer purple night sky border, leaving slots open for incoming single-count utility boxes.
  3. Bring in Yellow 1, White 1, Purple 1, and Cyan 1 into the slots alongside Red 20. The single-unit ants clear the yellow stars and exposed white and purple patches, leaving Red 20 to begin chewing into the reindeer's torso.
  4. Tap Black 10 from the front row and Brown 15. Black removes the deep sky accents while Brown attacks the reindeer's antlers and legs once the outer purple sky recedes.
  5. Activate the linked pair containing Purple 20 and Light Blue 20. Both boxes slide into slots simultaneously to peel away large chunks of the midnight sky and snowy pine needles.
  6. Deploy Light Blue 18 and Purple 22 from the front row. They carve deep into the remaining sky background and the light blue tree shading behind the deer.
  7. Tap the remaining Light Blue 14, Light Blue 20, and Purple 26 boxes as they reach the front row. They strip the final patches of pine trees and the upper corners of the night sky.
  8. Tap White 1 and Purple 1 to collect the last loose flakes of snow and the remaining purple sky dots until the canvas is entirely clear.

Moves that cost you the level

  • Tapping Red 20 before the purple sky and white trees are stripped → red pixels belong entirely to the reindeer in the center, so Red 20 idles in a slot and creates a buffer clog.
  • Activating a linked pair when only one slot is free → linked boxes require two open slots simultaneously, blocking moves if tapped with insufficient space.

Quick tips for Level 223

  • Clear from the outside in: white snow and purple sky blocks form the perimeter, so clear them before touching the inner red deer.
  • Keep at least two slots empty whenever linked boxes approach the front row of the stack.
Board breakdown5 notes
Layout
A pixel canvas depicts a red reindeer standing in a snowy forest beneath a purple night sky with stars. Five holding slots sit above a 3-wide descending stack with linked diagonal bars.
Goal
Clear all coloured blocks from the canvas by deploying ant boxes from the stack without filling all five slots with inactive colours.
Opening
Cyan 15 and White 20 are safe early choices because white snow and cyan accents border the outer canvas and clear immediately.
Trap
Red 20 in the second row is buried under outer layers; if deployed before the reindeer's torso is uncovered, it sits motionless in a slot.
Mechanic
Linked boxes joined by diagonal bars must enter the slots together, requiring two vacant slots at the moment of tapping.

Level 223 questions

  • What should I tap first on Level 223?

Tap White 20 and Cyan 15 to remove the snow frame and expose the sky and trees without clogging slots.

  • Why won't my Red box pick up blocks?

Red blocks only form the reindeer's body in the center; you must strip away the outer purple sky and white trees before red becomes exposed.
