How to beat Colony Flow! Level 222 — full solution
- Send the three front Purple boxes (Purple 19, Purple 20, and Purple 20) into the slots. Their ants begin stripping the purple outer border and night sky around the moth, opening up room in the stack.
- Tap the two Light Green 20 boxes and the Green 16 box from the stack into the slots. The green ants begin harvesting the outer edges of the moth's wings while the purple ants continue eating the sky.
- Send the Purple 26 box and Yellow 15 box when slots open up. Purple ants continue clearing the dark sky around the upper corners, exposing the white accents along the antennae and the locked key locations.
- Deploy the Light Green 20 box and Green 8 box to dismantle the lower wing edges and tail extensions, clearing the perimeter around the moth's body.
- Tap the Brown 14 box and Purple 21 box into open slots. The brown ants begin attacking the central moth abdomen and body, while the purple ants chip away at the remaining sky behind the head.
- Send the Green 9 box, Light Green 21 box, and White 1 box. White ants quickly take the small antenna spots, while green ants chew through the central wing patterns to uncover the yellow keys embedded within.
- Deploy the Brown 10 box, Purple 18 box, and Purple 8 box to consume the remaining body sections and the last patches of purple sky framing the moon.
- Unlock and tap the remaining Light Green 22, Light Green 20, and final Yellow 15 boxes. Light green ants clear the last inner wing pieces, allowing the yellow ants to harvest every star and the crescent moon to complete the level.

Moves that cost you the level
- Tapping Yellow 15 while yellow blocks are completely enclosed → yellow stars and the crescent moon are buried inside the purple sky, leaving the yellow box stuck in a slot indefinitely.
- Deploying Brown 14 before the wings are cleared → brown body blocks are deep in the centre of the moth and cannot be reached by ants until the surrounding wing blocks vanish.
Quick tips for Level 222
- Always match ant colours to the outermost exposed perimeter; inner features like the moon and antennae cannot be touched early.
- Prioritize Purple boxes in the opening phases because purple blocks make up the entire outer frame and background.
- Keep at least one slot empty to cycle fast-clearing single-digit boxes without filling the row.
Board breakdown5 notes
- Layout
- A large rectangular pixel canvas at the top depicts a green luna moth against a purple night sky with yellow stars and a yellow crescent moon. Beneath the canvas are two ant nests, five holding slots, and a multi-row stack of ant boxes containing normal and padlocked boxes.
- Goal
- Carry away all pixel blocks forming the moth and background using matching colour ant boxes from the stack without letting all five slots clog.
- Opening
- Tap the available front-row Purple boxes to begin stripping the extensive purple sky border that wraps around the entire image.
- Trap
- Tapping the Yellow 15 box early clogs a slot because yellow blocks (the moon and stars) are completely surrounded by purple sky.
- Mechanic
- Padlocked boxes in the stack require their matching coloured keys to be uncovered and carried off the board by ants before they can be tapped.
Level 222 questions
-
What do I tap first in Colony Flow! Level 222?
Tap the Purple boxes in the front row. The entire outer border is purple, so purple ants can immediately work without getting stuck in the slots.
-
Why is my Yellow box stuck in Colony Flow! Level 222?
Yellow blocks represent stars and the moon, which are trapped inside the purple sky. You must strip away the purple background before yellow ants can reach them.
