How to beat Colony Flow! Level 140 — full solution

  1. Tap the linked Green 44 + Red 23 pair (row 1, left) and the linked Cyan 47 + Blue 45 pair (row 1, right). They take four slots; Green and Cyan strip the perimeter greenery and lower shirt while Red waits for facial cheeks to open.
  2. Tap Green 45 (row 1, third column) to clear additional border foliage and free the column beneath it. Tap the Grey ? mystery box (row 1, second column) to reveal Black 40.
  3. Tap White 35 (row 1, third column) into the freed slot. White ants carry off the white pixel patches along the outer edges, reducing the box count rapidly.
  4. With White nearly depleted, tap Black 40 (row 1, second column) and Green 40 (row 1, fourth column). Green finishes off the outer border while Black ants begin carving away the girl's dark hair, opening access to the red cheeks.
  5. Tap Black 35 (row 1, second column) and Black 70 (row 1, third column). They take over hair removal, allowing Red 23 in the first slot to finally clear the cheeks and mouth before leaving.
  6. Tap Orange 37 (row 1, leftmost) to harvest the exposed orange headband across the top of the hair. Tap White 35 (row 1, middle) to remove the remaining accent tiles.
  7. Tap Beige 45 (row 1, right) and Beige 35 (row 2, right). Beige ants remove the exposed skin on the forehead, cheeks, and neck.
  8. Tap the revealed Grey ? mystery box to expose Green 24, then tap Green 24 and Blue 25 from the bottom row. Green cleans up residual green patches while Blue extracts the remaining shirt blocks.
  9. Tap the remaining Beige and White boxes in the slots to carry the final facial skin and corner blocks into the nest, completing the portrait.

Moves that cost you the level

  • Tapping Orange 37 while the headband is fully buried under green border blocks and hair → Orange parks in a slot unable to move and starves your queue.
  • Opening Beige boxes before Black clears the outer hair → skin blocks remain surrounded by hair, causing the Beige box to stall and fill the slots.

Quick tips for Level 140

  • Linked boxes require two adjacent free slots; always ensure at least two bays are empty before tapping a linked pair.
  • Strip the green background completely before committing boxes for internal details like the orange headband and beige face.
Board breakdown5 notes
Layout
A pixel portrait of a girl with dark purple hair, an orange headband, red cheeks, beige skin, and a blue top against a green and white patterned background. Below the nest sits a 5-bay holding area and a 4-column stack of ant boxes.
Goal
Clear all coloured blocks from the portrait board using matching ant boxes from the stack without letting all five slots clog.
Opening
Tap the two linked pairs in the front row: Green 44 + Red 23 on the left and Cyan 47 + Blue 45 on the right. Green and Cyan instantly find exposed border blocks, keeping slots flowing.
Trap
Red 23 in the opening linked pair enters immediately but has no exposed blocks until the hair and cheeks are excavated, effectively reducing your active bays to four for the first half of the level.
Mechanic
Linked boxes enter slots together as a pair; mystery boxes marked with a question mark conceal their colour until exposed in the front row.

Level 140 questions

  • Why does the Red 23 box sit idle in the first slot for so long?

Red blocks only exist on the cheeks and mouth deep inside the portrait. Red 23 is forced in early by its link to Green 44, so it must wait until Black ants clear the surrounding hair.
