How to beat Food Hunt: Pixel Puzzle Level 409 — full solution

  1. Tap Cyan 23 (row 1, col 1), Light Blue 55 (row 1, col 2), White 24 (row 1, col 3), and Cyan 50 (row 1, col 4). Follow with Brown 37 (row 2, col 2) and Yellow 36. This strips the outer sky border, cloud edges, and hive perimeter.
  2. Tap Purple 7 (row 2, col 1) and Purple 8 (row 2, col 4) to strip the bee wings and outlines. Then send Grey 40 (row 3, col 1), Red 10 (row 1, col 1), and Yellow 29 to clear bee markings and outer hive cells.
  3. Tap Orange 20 (row 1, col 3), Light Green 5 (row 1, col 4), and Light Green 4 (row 2, col 1) to digest green foliage and outer hive trim. Add Red 9 and Light Blue 32 to eliminate the remaining background sky.
  4. Send Red 10 (row 1, col 1), Red 10 (row 1, col 2), Red 15 (row 1, col 4), and Purple 2 (row 2, col 1) to wear down the target ring and bee details. Tap Dark Grey 26 to start peeling the hive entrance.
  5. Tap Yellow 50 (row 1, col 1), Light Green 8 (row 1, col 2), and Grey 50 (row 2, col 1). The ants strip broad sections of the beehive exterior and tree canopy, lowering the target counter to 5.
  6. Release Cyan 45, Grey 40 (row 3, col 1), and Red 9 to eat into inner hive borders and outer target layers. Two bays clear as the red and grey batches finish eating.
  7. Tap Yellow 3, Grey 8, and Light Blue 30 (row 3, col 3) to clear residual bee bodies, foliage fragments, and sky pixels, leaving three bays free for the next phase.
  8. Send Cyan 3, Red 5, White 32, Grey 25, and Red 7 into the bays. This eats away the central entrance shadow, breaks the target ring completely, and exposes the inner hive structure.
  9. Tap White 40, Black 32, Red 1, Orange 14, and Yellow 6. The ants finish off the inner hive entrance, honeycomb patterns, and stray yellow pixels across the picture.
  10. Tap Red 4, Cyan 7, Light Green 4, and Black 14 to consume the final branch, leaf, and dark cavity pixels. The entire board clears and the level is won.

Moves that cost you the level

  • Tapping Dark Grey 26 or Black 32 in the early game → the hive cavity is buried deep beneath outer honeycomb layers, leaving the jar stalled in a bay indefinitely.
  • Filling bays with multiple Red jars while the target ring still protects outer red pixels → bays fill up and block access to sky and foliage jars.

Quick tips for Level 409

  • Strip the sky and cloud pixels first to uncover the bees and the top of the tree branch safely.
  • Keep at least one bay open when engaging the target circle to prevent sudden deadlocks.
Board breakdown5 notes
Layout
A pixel-art image of two bees flying near a large beehive suspended from a tree branch, with sky and clouds around the edges. Below are five bays and a tiered grid of jars.
Goal
Clear all pixels on the board and deplete the 10-count target ring overlaid on the right edge of the beehive.
Opening
Start by tapping the front-row Cyan, Light Blue, and White jars to peel away the exposed outer sky and cloud layers.
Trap
Dark Grey and Black jars represent the deep hive entrance hole. If chosen before the outer hive shell is stripped, they stall in the bays and cause a loss.
Mechanic
The target ring with a count of 10 shields the pixels beneath it until nearby matching coloured pixels are cleared and hit repeatedly.

Level 409 questions

  • What should I tap first on Level 409?

Tap the Cyan, Light Blue, and White jars in the front row to clear the perimeter sky and clouds.

  • Why do my dark jars stop eating on Level 409?

Dark Grey and Black pixels form the inner entrance of the beehive, which only becomes exposed after the yellow and orange outer hive layers are eaten.
