How to beat Food Hunt: Pixel Puzzle Level 228 — full solution

  1. Tap Beige 11 in column 2, then tap Beige 2 and the Mystery jar directly behind it as they slide forward. Tap Light Blue 16 from column 4 and Orange 25 from column 1. Ants eat the scarecrow's face, shirt edges, and pumpkin peel, leaving five jars working in the bays.
  2. Allow the low-count beige and black jars to finish. Tap Light Green 30, Beige 34, and Yellow 29 as column 2 refills, then send in Black 41 and Orange 33. Light green eats the base grass while yellow and orange chip away at the pumpkin shell.
  3. Wait for the active Beige 1 jar to empty. Tap Light Green from the grid to consume the grass patches beneath the pumpkin and scarecrow stand. Follow up by tapping Yellow 18 and Orange 18 into the freed slots to continue carving into the pumpkin.
  4. As the light green and early yellow jars leave the bays, tap Blue 20 and Light Blue 21 from column 3 to eat the scarecrow's shirt. Send Yellow 21, Yellow 12, and Orange 15 into the open bays to clear the exposed pumpkin ridges.
  5. Clear the low-count blue and yellow jars. Tap Black 75 from column 3 to begin eating the crow's bulky body, along with Yellow 31 and Orange 19. A key appears in the top-left corner as the outer bird feathers and pumpkin rind vanish.
  6. Use the collected key to unlock the padlocked stack in the left column. Tap White 1 and White 11 to strip the scarecrow's shirt patch and pumpkin highlights, then tap Light Blue 12 and Orange 18 to keep the bays rotating.
  7. Tap the unlocked Light Blue 40 jar, followed by Brown 10 and Brown 20 from column 2 to strip the scarecrow's hat and post. Queue Beige 10, Black 53, and Orange 25 to clear the remaining crow body and pumpkin core.
  8. Tap Light Green 10 and Light Blue 21 from the final column. Ants consume the remaining hat band, twig, and pumpkin highlights. All pixels clear from the board and the level is won.

Moves that cost you the level

  • Tapping Black 75 during the opening → the crow's outer edges must be stripped first, leaving this heavy jar stalled in a bay and choking your buffer.
  • Sending Brown 10 into a bay before the scarecrow's hat rim and face are cleared → brown pixels on the support pole and inner hat remain covered, locking a bay indefinitely.

Quick tips for Level 228

  • Prioritize clearing the center column early to cycle through shallow jars and expose the hidden mystery jar.
  • Track the key icon to ensure an open bay is available right when the padlocked jar unlocks.
  • Alternate between pumpkin colours (Orange and Yellow) and scarecrow colours to prevent duplicate jars from idling simultaneously.

Opening
Tap Beige 11, Beige 2, and the Mystery jar in column 2, then Light Blue 16 and Orange 25 to safely strip the outermost exposed pixels.
Trap
