Food Hunt: Pixel Puzzle Level 17 Walkthrough

How to beat Food Hunt: Pixel Puzzle Level 17 — full solution
- With Black 38 already active in bay 1 eating the outer outline, tap Green 50, Light Green 55, and Green 50 from the front row in any order. Green ants eat away the bottom grass turf, revealing the lower stem and the jars behind.
- Tap White 9, Light Green 16, Lilac 12, and Grey 6 into bays 2 through 5. White ants strip the spots on the cap, green ants clear remaining turf, and lilac and grey ants begin eroding the mushroom stem.
- As the green and white jars finish, tap Red 80, Red 60, and Red 20 into the newly freed bays. Red ants start devouring the newly exposed bottom edges of the mushroom cap while the black outline continues to recede.
- Tap Lilac 16 into an open bay to keep stripping the stem alongside the active red jars as the mushroom cap erodes from the edges inward.
- Tap Black 2 into an open bay to clear remaining outline fragments around the cap and stem while active red jars count down to completion.
- Tap Red 70, Red 50, and Red 59 as front-row positions open to maintain pressure on the large cap. Tap Light Green 1 to clear the last stray grass pixel at the base.
- Tap Grey 5, Lilac 11, and Black 2 to eliminate the final pixels of the stem and outline, leaving only the central core of the red cap on the board.
- Tap the final Red 74, Red 60, Red 15, and Red 31 jars into the bays in any order. Red ants eat the remaining center pixels of the cap to finish the board.

Moves that cost you the level
- Tapping high-value Red jars before White 9 and Black 38 clear the dots and borders → red pixels are largely unexposed early on, filling bays with stalled red jars.
- Ignoring the stem jars (Lilac 12 and Grey 6) → the lower cap remains partially obstructed by the stem pixels, preventing red ants from clearing the bottom edge.
Quick tips for Level 17
- Always exhaust the border colours (Black and Green) before committing multiple bays to the bulk fill colour (Red).
- Monitor jar counts closely: small jars like Light Green 1 and Black 2 clear almost instantly, freeing bays for heavier counts.
Board breakdown5 notes
- Layout
- A central mushroom with a red cap, white spots, and a grey/lilac stem rests on green grass turf. Five bays sit directly above a feeding jar queue below.
- Goal
- Eat every pixel of the mushroom, spots, stem, and grass patch using matching ant jars.
- Opening
- Black 38 starts in bay 1 stripping the outline. Tap the front-row green jars to clear the grass border and unlock inner jars.
- Trap
- Deploying Red 80 or Red 60 into bays before White 9 clears the spots stalls bays, as inner red pixels cannot be targeted until the white dots vanish.
- Mechanic
- Standard exposed-pixel clearing where outer boundary pixels must be eaten before interior colors become accessible.
Level 17 questions
-
What should I tap first on Level 17?
Tap the front-row Green 50 and Light Green 55 jars while Black 38 works on the outline. This strips the bottom turf and unblocks stem and spot jars.
