How to beat Food Hunt: Pixel Puzzle Level 138 — full solution

  1. Tap White 45 (row 1, left), Orange 27 (row 1, centre), Red 50 (row 1, right), followed by Cyan 50 and Pink 59 from row 2. The ants strip the outer frame, lower kimono hem, and side background, leaving all five bays working on active perimeter pixels.
  2. Send Blue 79 (row 1, left), Cyan 35, Lilac 53, and Pink 46 into the free bays as the opening jars empty. They devour the lower outer robe patterns and hair ribbon borders, revealing the middle grid row with Black 10 and Yellow 20.
  3. Tap Yellow 20 (row 1, centre), Black 10 (row 1, left), revealed Green 14, and Orange 17 into available bays. Ants eat away the hairpin ornaments and kimono collar trim, opening the lower kimono structure while four bays remain actively occupied.
  4. Deploy Orange 22, Black 20, White 47, and Cyan 50 as earlier jars finish. These target the kimono chest panel, White face outline, and side headwear accents, revealing the massive Black 100 jar in the centre of the grid.
  5. Tap Black 100 into the open centre bay while Red 2, Yellow 12, Purple 2, and White 47 finish their counts. This is the tightest choke point: Black hair edges are now exposed, letting the 100-count jar drain steadily down to 42 without stalling the rack.
  6. Tap Orange 22, Pink 35, and Orange 17 to clear the bottom corners of the kimono. Follow with Cyan 28, Purple 5, and Lilac 11 to strip the hair ornaments and side ribbons. The kimono disappears completely, leaving White 13, Lilac 11, and Purple 5 in the bays.
  7. Send Yellow 10, Orange 17, and Cyan 41 into the bays, followed by Black 20 and Blue 38 from the revealed rows. Ants clear the remaining hairpin tips, chin boundaries, and blue headwear tiles, leaving Pink 30 and Green 4 ready in the front row.
  8. Release Pink 30, Blue 38, Green 4, and Black 43, then send White 17, Black 77, Pink 25, and Blue 7 into the bays as slots clear. The face, cheek accents, and outer hair shell vanish, emptying the entire jar grid.
  9. Allow White 17, Pink 25, Blue 7, and Black 77 to finish devouring the remaining facial highlights and core black hair. Once the last black pixel is eaten, the level is complete.

Moves that cost you the level

  • Tapping Black 100 before the outer head ribbons and forehead pixels clear → Black pixels remain inaccessible under Cyan and Lilac tiles, permanently jamming a bay with 100 unused capacity.
  • Queuing Yellow 20 before the hair ornament perimeter is stripped → Yellow pixels are completely surrounded by Black hair, leaving the jar stalled indefinitely.

Quick tips for Level 138

  • Work from the outer frame inward: peel away the cyan background and red kimono borders before touching inner facial colours.
  • Keep at least one bay open when handling high-capacity jars like Black 100 and Black 77 to ensure smaller clearing jars can rotate freely.
Board breakdown5 notes
Layout
The picture is a square geisha portrait surrounded by a thin frame. The jar grid below contains multi-tiered rows of jars with mystery jars hidden beneath the third rank.
Goal
Clear all portrait pixels across eleven colours including large volumes of Black hair, White face, Red kimono, and Cyan background.
Opening
Tap White 45, Orange 27, and Red 50 from the front row. All three colours have fully exposed edge pixels along the bottom and outer borders, ensuring immediate countdown.
Trap
Black 100 sits in the middle tiers and becomes available before the hair is fully exposed. Tapping it while hair pixels are boxed in by hair accessories blocks a bay for the rest of the game.
Mechanic
Mystery jars marked with question marks occupy the lower rows and reveal their colour and pixel count only when the jar directly in front is removed.

Level 138 questions

  • When is it safe to tap Black 100 on Level 138?

Wait until the Lilac, Pink, and Cyan hair ornaments around the edges are mostly cleared. This ensures Black hair pixels are exposed so the jar drains without stalling your bays.
