How to beat Colony Flow! Level 55 — full solution

  1. Tap the Yellow 5 box (front row, second from left), the White 30 box (front row, left), the White 40 box (front row, third from left), the revealed Black 30 box (row 2, middle), and the Black 35 box (row 2, fourth). Black ants eat the dark cake outline; Black 30 and Black 35 clear, leaving three slots free.
  2. Tap the revealed White 30 box (row 2, right) and the revealed Yellow 35 box (row 2, left). White ants finish the bottom border while yellow ants begin clearing exposed yellow blocks. Yellow 5 in slot 1 and White 40 both clear, leaving three slots open.
  3. Tap the Orange 40 box (row 1, left) into slot 1, then tap the revealed Brown 35 box (row 2, left) into slot 2. Brown ants chew through the lower cake crust while Orange 40 remains parked waiting for outer orange blocks to become exposed; three slots remain open.
  4. Tap the Brown 30 box (row 1, middle), the Yellow 40 box (row 1, right), and the Brown 25 box (row 2, middle). Brown ants finish the middle cake base and yellow ants clear background pixels. Both brown boxes and the yellow box clear, leaving four slots open.
  5. Tap the Black 36 box (row 1, right) into slot 4. Black ants strip the remaining dark outline bordering the orange frame. Once Black 36 clears, the stalled Orange 40 in slot 1 immediately activates, strips the orange frame, and empties, leaving all five slots completely free.
  6. Tap the Yellow 30 box (row 1, left), the Pink 30 box (row 1, middle), the second Pink 30 box (row 1, right), and the revealed Brown 30 box (row 2, middle). Pink ants start carving out the strawberry filling. Both pink boxes clear quickly, leaving two slots free.
  7. Tap the revealed White 36 box (row 2, middle), the White 35 box (row 2, right), and the revealed Black 30 box (row 2, right). White and black ants remove the whipped cream band and inner separation lines. All three boxes clear, fully opening the red padlock.
  8. Tap the unlocked Red 30 box (row 2, left), the revealed Red 35 box (row 2, middle), the Yellow 30 box (row 1, left), and the White 35 box (row 1, left). Red ants strip the outer strawberry layers. All four boxes finish and clear, leaving all slots open.
  9. Tap the Pink 30 box (row 1, middle), the Pink 40 box (row 1, right), the Yellow 25 box (row 2, left), the Brown 35 box (row 2, middle), the Yellow 45 box (row 3, middle), the Yellow 40 box (row 2, right), and the Orange 40 box (row 2, left). These clear the strawberry jam layers, crumbs, and outer background.
  10. With the blue padlock unlocked, tap the Black 35 box (row 1, left), the Pink 27 box (row 1, middle), and the Red 28 box (row 1, middle). Black and pink ants clear the remaining seeds and garnish, while the red ants consume the final blocks of the strawberry topper to complete the level.

Moves that cost you the level

  • Tapping the Orange 40 box early without clearing black outline blocks → orange pixels remain inaccessible, parking the box in a slot for almost a minute and reducing your working space.
  • Filling all five slots with cake-interior colours before uncovering outer borders → no ants can reach their blocks, causing a game over.

Quick tips for Level 55

  • When a box stalls in a slot, look at which colour borders its pixels in the picture and prioritise clearing that outer colour first.
  • Prioritise clearing blocks that surround key icons to unlock locked boxes before your stack runs out of accessible moves.
Board breakdown5 notes
Layout
A pixel-art slice of strawberry cake on an orange-and-yellow background, with five open slots beneath the nests and a layered box stack below.
Goal
Clear all coloured blocks from the cake pixel art before the 5-minute countdown expires and without letting all five slots clog.
Opening
Tap Yellow 5, White 30, and White 40 from the front row. The white ants immediately strip the outer cream and plate edges, exposing black outline blocks so the following black boxes can work.
Trap
Tapping the Orange 40 box early in the first half stalls it in slot 1 because the orange border blocks are shielded by black outline blocks until Black 36 removes them, tying up a slot for several cycles.
Mechanic
Padlocks lock certain boxes in the stack until their matching coloured key is freed from the pixel picture by clearing surrounding blocks.

Level 55 questions

  • Why does the Orange 40 box not count down when tapped?

Its orange pixels along the border are blocked by the black outline. Clear the Black 36 box first so the orange blocks become exposed, allowing the ants to collect them.
