How to beat Colony Flow! Level 549 — full solution

  1. With Light Green 29 already working in the first slot, tap Light Green 20 from row 2, far right. The light green ants strip the outer edge of the bottom bushes while Light Green 29 finishes and clears, opening a slot.
  2. Tap Cyan 45, Light Blue 35, Beige 25, and Brown 50 from row 1 in any order. Ants swarm the outer borders, peeling away the cyan and light blue sky blocks to reveal the giraffe's beige horns, ears, and brown head outline, leaving all five slots occupied.
  3. As Cyan 45 and Light Blue 35 count down to zero, tap Light Blue 40 and Light Green 35 from row 1 into the freed slots. The blue sky on both sides is nearly cleared and the bushes shrink, keeping steady block flow without stalling any slot.
  4. Tap Beige 18 and Brown 31 as slots open. The ants dismantle the exposed beige snout border and the brown facial spots on the forehead, uncovering deeper rows in the stack including Cyan 46 and revealed mystery boxes.
  5. Tap Light Green 30 and the revealed Light Blue box into the slots. The ants remove the remaining sky background tiles across the top edge and the remaining light green bush leaves, fully exposing the upper giraffe silhouette.
  6. Tap Green 41 and Brown 20 from the front row as slots clear. Ants carry away the dark green foliage at the bottom corners and the brown neck patches, exposing the central snout and inner orange facial features.
  7. Tap Orange 25, Beige 25, and Green 8 into the freed slots. The ants clear the dark green bush cores and chew through the beige chin, snout, and orange muzzle details, reducing the picture to just the inner core.
  8. Tap Orange 40, Beige 25, and Brown 4 into the open slots. Ants carry away the last orange nostril blocks and brown neck remnants into the nest, leaving the board completely clear to win the level.

Moves that cost you the level

  • Tapping Orange 25 while the snout is still enclosed by beige and brown tiles → orange has no exposed blocks, so the box sits permanently in a slot and causes an early overflow.
  • Tapping Brown 50 before opening sky lanes with Cyan 45 and Light Blue 35 → Brown 50 only has a few horn blocks exposed, stalling the slot while other colors finish.

Quick tips for Level 549

  • Always work from the outer background inward; clear the sky and bushes before touching the character's facial features.
  • Keep at least one slot cycling quickly on low-count border boxes so high-count boxes have room to clear gradually.
Board breakdown5 notes
Layout
A pixel-art portrait of a giraffe against a cyan sky with green bushes at the bottom corners. Below sit two nests, five empty slots, and a multi-row stack of ant boxes.
Goal
Carry away all pixel blocks using ant boxes until the picture board is empty. There is no countdown timer on this level.
Opening
Light Green 29 begins already inside slot 1; immediately tapping Light Green 20 and Cyan 45 strips the outer edges safely without risking a jam.
Trap
The inner Orange and Green boxes stall if tapped before their corresponding snout details and bush centers have been uncovered.
Mechanic
Ants can only pick up blocks touching an exposed outer perimeter; interior colors remain unreachable until the surrounding layers vanish.
